Troy just released it's hype video for tomorrow's game against South. There's a lot of positive energy coming out of Troy right now. As a fan, I haven't felt this much energy coming out of there in a while and this is the most excited I've been for a game in several years.

Aren't hype videos suppose to be over dramatic? Isn't that the purpose?

I remember how hyped up our team was for Mississippi State last year. We had a huge pep rally downtown, the building downtown were lit up Red and Blue, sold out stadium, huge tailgaiting scene, hype videos, lots of buzz. It was awesome.

Why did they not use Troy vs South Alabama clips in the hype video?

I'm sure we will, we don't have any other huge home games next year, the Troy game will likely be our best attended home game. I'm glad this is really starting to become a rivalry. I have some close friends/family who graduated from Troy, and it's fun talking trash with them.

I feel is it what it is, a nice little in-state rivalry. Nothing more, or less. Most real diehard Jag fans consider Louisiana is our biggest rival. I will say this, though, Troy is more than just another SBC rival.
