Need a UConn win to show how bad Boise's loss to them was.

I'm dying to pull off the upset here. BYU is not going to be able to run the ball at all. They are down their top 3 or 4 leading rushers. If we can keep BYU out of the endzone early, I like UConn's chances to hang in there and maybe, just maybe steal this one. The secondary has really only been tested in the Mizzou game, after playing rush heavy Army and Navy. I have to think BYU is really going to air it out tonight. Let's see if the secondary is as good as Bob D advertised in camp this summer.

Agree with everything you said. I think UCONN keeps it close with a chance to pull an upset at the end.

Some variables have me worried: the short week, this being the furthest regular season road game in UConn history, the late start time...

That said, UConn can win this game if they show up to play and UConn special teams play their best game.

Isn't that an 8:15 start local time? Assuming they've been there since yesterday, I see no problems with the start time affecting the players.

Yes but I guarantee you they'll be feeling it in the 4th quarter (~1:00 am here). Hopefully the coaches adjusted the week's schedule prior to the flight.

I'd agree with you if you were talking about the thin air, not with the start time. There will be zero issues with the start time, IMO.

The horses aren't there for UConn so even UConn brings their A game it won't be enough to overcome this BYU squad, IMO

Like Blunder said, the start time is an issue because it means the game will continue on until the early morning hours. I doubt Diaco has had many practices start and end that late.

That's what was said about the Missouri game, and if it weren't for the botched fake FG we'd have won that game. So maybe dial back the UCONN disrespect a bit.

Disrespecting?? No I'm not... But I do believe UConn does not have the talent this season vs a BYU type team.
