I wish the weather wasn't so messy. It's hard to tell if Temple is just having a difficult time due to weather, or if Charlotte's defense is really keeping them at bay.

Whoa just tuned in and Charlotte is hanging in there.

Is it the weather, Temple playing poorly, or Charlotte making strides?

Good show for Charlotte so far. Too bad about the weather.... I was hoping to see how good your atmosphere was/is. The stadium and the grounds look good.

2nd monsoon game in a row for us, last weekend was great. Put 17,444 in the stadium and the students crushed it.

Defense trying to hold, but wearing down. Injuries both sides of the ball really taking their toll.

Well that's ballgame. Back to back 3 & outs and 28 yard punts. Temple about to put this one away. Why won't Niners return men take a touchback?

Unfortunately, I think the 4th quarter is going to be ugly. Temple has scored 20 points in the 3rd and shows no signs of slowing down.

If I had one helmet, I'd give to Marshall fans.

I didn't have the chance to watch the game but just saw the stats and final score on ESPN. Can someone please explain to me how this game ended 37-3 while both teams had nearly identical stats?

Charlotte's QB play is the worst in FBS history. One dimensional team.

Oh everyone else gets that but the fact that your fans obviously state that Charlotte is getting destroyed during football games is getting old. We get it, we've been playing football for 3 years. Where are you guys during the rest of the sports? Exactly, nowhere.

If I could explain it then surely we could have won the game. We suck in the redzone, I don't know why.

Believe it or not this and last week are major improvements over that debacle in the 'boro. Seeing what we did with 1 damn QB under center tonight against a really good Temple Defense convinces me we could have won last week if we hadn't been playing musical QB.

I'm going to try to dry out now............

First off, I don't just root for Marshall. I root for WVU and West Virginia State University (the university I graduated from), and the latter has won two or three games every season for the last seven seasons. So I know what it's like to root for a struggling program.

Second, you seem to act like all of us are rubbing it in. I'm not. Just stating what I expected. And I was wrong, the 4th quarter didn't get ugly. The game was finished.

Sorry to lump you in with the "brood". I've been tired of it since last season, Marshall better win the next 5 games against Charlotte or there will be hell to pay.

The rain was bearable in the first half but as it got colder and started raining a lot harder it was pretty bad in the second half (some TDs for Charlotte would have helped immensely).

Be glad your on the road this week.

Our fans still have yet to experience a game at night with good weather.

looks like we will have to wait till next year as the Marshall game is rumored for the afternoon.

Temp dropped ten degrees during halftime. It got miserable quick.

Couple of observations for the good guys

Big Larry played with their center all night and got the best of him most of the time. He was a force and I'm bummed we will lose him after next season. hE's a great kid, double majoring and he might play on Sunday in the next couple of years.

Just because Lee hit a few passes tonight, doesn't make him a good qb. He's slow and his passes have no pace on the them. hE is a five interception game waiting to happen.

pHillips proved that yet again, he can run for a lot of yardage against you defense.
Hewould be fantastic behind a little bit better line with a good quarterback

I like that the team is getting better. It seemed like they tried to get it to KP early with a screen and a check down, but they need to get him more involved in the passing. It seemed like we couldn't finish a drive on defense without an injury, and the starting field position was terrible in the 2nd half. If you want a reason why the stats are the same, but the score is not look at starting field position. I think Lee is not the long term answer, but he is playing at a higher level than the other QBs in the games. I don't see how you make the switch away from him given what they have put on tape. Growth in the WR position will help as well. Not as much separation from the DBs as the QBs are accustomed to at the FCS level.

One stat that I saw in the first half might help explain, time of possession was in Temple's favor 19-11. Overall for the game, I suspect (haven't looked) heavily in Temple's favor. Charlotte has some depth issues, for obvious reasons. The up-tempo offensive scheme is not one that benefits our defense especially given the Niners' struggles in the passing game. Can't have as many 3 & outs as we have and expect it not to affect the defense. At one point, I think the Niners were 0-10 on third down. Field position, Temple clearly won that battle too.

Result was about what I expect (maybe not 37-3, but 10-3 at the half was a nice result).

I'm assuming this is tongue in cheek. Considering the field conditions he played decent, pretty much even with Temple's QB. I have seen worse than a 11.1 QBR rating. Heck the stud QB @ UCLA had a 5.7 rating against BYU in optimum conditions. You have to throw this game out the window when evaluating a QB.
