Northwest Ohio perspective
Not sure if UC fans are up in arms about playing week games like most MAC fans are but I enjoy watching good football on Thursday and Friday nights. My friends and I make a point to keep an eye on G5 foes. You're getting viewers up north.

None of this matters much if you enjoy playing during the week. Not sure if it hurts more isolated schools like UC. Most MAC schools have way more competition with the Big10 than you guys. (Geographically, with worse fan bases)

Anyways, good luck vs. the canes. Go G5, and Go Rockets!

Thanks, we will have our hands full on Thursday. I like the national ESPN games. Good luck the rest of the season.

UC fans respect the Toledo football program. Always competitive, and facing some of the same obstacles that UC faces with O$U, UK and IU virtually on our doorstep. But Thursday night national TV games involving UC over the years vs. NC State, Oregon State, Pitt, WVU, Louisville and this year Miami (FL) and Memphis have always provided good exposure for Bearcat football. Next week it is at BYU on a Friday night ESPN game.

This...with the minor correction that we have a week off between the Miami and BYU games.

But Toledo is easily my favorite MAC team and I really have grown to love watching the Rockets...when you're not playing the Bearcats, that is. Then you give me indigestion. 03-nutkick

Good luck this season, Toledo... Go Rockets!

I like Thursday ESPN games.

Fridays are another matter. I already see good football every Friday night here in the high school MAC.

One or two Thursday Night ESPN games a year are great (maybe one home , one away ) I wouldn't want to do it every week tho. Great exposure and atmosphere ! Its just a little harder to get off work early, get to the games and enjoy ample pre-game festivitie time .

Rock on , Toledo 04-rock

I feel like that has happened a lot more than just last year, with Coldwater, Marion Local, DSJ, and St. Henry, there are a ton of State Championships in that conference. We've also gottena lot of guys from that conference eover the years... Lefeld comes to mind immediately.

Also, now being on UT payroll, I have another level of respect for the UT program. I grew up in the area (was at the glorious Pitt game), but working here now, you definitely see just how much they do to stay successful with limited resources.

Our local high school (Bethel-Tate, in their first ever Ohio playoff game) has to play at Coldwater. I don't think it will go well for them. Coldwater looks like a college team from what I can tell. Bethel had a good year but they only play about 15 players and only have about 20 on the roster.

Coldwater is a small school power. UC had an OL from Coldwater not long ago... I'm too lazy to look it up.

I remember in High School we played Coldwater, when they had Ross Homan on the team. The only other player to hit me that hard was Bradley Glatthaar when we played Elder in the State Semis.
