Again, piece is written by me.

And don't reply to MD so I don't have to read his gibberish.

Nicely and thoughtfully written piece, thank you for sharing the link! I have always believed that most games are won or lost in the trenches.

First off Barsema, I am sorry my reaction to that post a week or so ago after the OSU game, I was a bit rude though, I didn't realize it was a fan reaction.

And no one reply to this, but I really think your view is taking the easy way out. The play of the line was not great, but there are many more urgent things to explain the woes of this team than the offensive line.

Great write-up, as usual.

Good write up Barsema. One point I differ on - our OL push was reasonably good vs tOSU, that is why I was very disappointed with their BC performance. CMU is usually tough up front, let's see how our guys do.

Just curious where the starters from 2012 came? I thought Conlon started vs Iowa. I also thought it was Brown and Loos on the corners. I know Volk didn't start that game due to an offseason injury but he started the last 10 of the regular season.

Also this is better writing that Norman Miller of hustle belt. He said Tim Semisch was the blocking TE and is saying that's a big reason NIU has sputtered on O.

Those were the 5 listed in the game notes. The other two besides Volk played, but those were the 5 listed. Either way, there were two red-shirt freshmen in the lineup.

Yeah, that's kind of the reason I started doing this. I figured it would give Hustle Belt a bit more legitimacy with regards to NIU if someone who actually follows the team was writing consistently.

Yeah I just had to post some info on how this guy said Tim Senisch is a big reason why NIU is struggling offensively and how he was a tackle disguised as a TE. He was wrong, big time. He basically was a special teams player only. Game notes, participation chart and bio information was all he had to look up. Took 5 mins.
