RE: JK September Podcast
Thanks for the post, Tiki. Lots of excellent information in the podcast. I think Dr. K. is well aware of the current college athletic landscape, and Rice's place in it. He's come a long way to help move the program forward, and it sounds as if he knows there is still much work to do. Glad we have him on our side.

Smart, capable, cerebral, knows the issues guy. Big improvement.

For my nit, would like a bit more of that CDC fire-in-the-belly, passion, and getting folks fired-up to take the big hill that Rice has to climb given all of our obstacles, but would rather have the steak vs. just the sizzle.

The prior administration had no steak and no sizzle.

That's because he ate them all!

RE: JK September Podcast
Thanks, Tiki. Very enlightening and encouraging. He reiterated that the University is committed to building Top 25 programs. He noted that however great we are in community relations, pr, graduation rates et al, we will only put butts in the seats when we win. Finally, he also noted that student attendance is somewhat dependent on us playing teams the kids are interested in seeing - which he conceded is not always the case now.

Hell, we've got a handful of active Parliamentarians participating in that AD focus group. They are carrying our questions and gripes forward without waiting for a lurker.
