Crazy good depth this year. I was a little disappointed to hear Beno on media day say he wasn't 100% after off season ankle surgery. I am feeling much more comfortable with Russ Smith and expect him to get quite a bit of floor time this season.

I'm interested to see how we use Jeff Green. I'm on record as saying he should be a small-ball 4 - corner 3/drive guy.

Lee isn't coming off the bench. That experiment failed miserably last year. I also still feel since Green is starting that he is better served coming off the bench. His game is slashing to the hole. With both Zach and Marc in the paint is already clogged, which hurts Green's ability.

I'm still not sold on Green. I think all he is an average player who is athletically gifted. Hope he proves me wrong

For those of you with NBAtv on your systems this Friday at 4 pm (Central) they are with the Grizz at training camp. I watched one of these shows yesterday with the T'Wolves. They are incredibly interesting. Set your dvr.

Yeah, with Lee not in there I don't think it gives us enough scoring to start the game and teams would pack it down in a zone.

RE: Grizz Lineups
Grizzlies added Ryan hollins the other day. I'm not sure if he is expected to make the roster but gasol and Randolph are going to need some rest. Also it would be great if Jordan Adams had a breakout shooting season.

Shooting and depth in the paint might be all this team needs to worry about barring injuries. Another good season coming up. And more nationally televised games too.

Vince carter has got to shoot better and Russ Smith has the potential to score quickly in bunches given playing time. I think he fills Calathes shoes just fine over time.

I also saw Jeff green was playing some exhibition games on the same roster as Marc Gasol....can't hurt chemistry? I know Green had plenty of games to find his spot in the rotation but maybe this season he can mesh better, because he can be one of the better athletes on the floor at any given time.

The core players have been steady the last few seasons. It all comes down to the role players. And it seems like this team has plenty of talent. But that's the case with a lot of nba teams including the west. The playoff seeding system is changing this season as well. Can't tell if that is good or bad for us.

RE: Grizz Lineups
Starting line up from day one will be Conley, Allen, Lee, Randolph and Gasol. Green will not start over Lee unless an injury happens between here and the first game. Green brings us that scoring punch off the bench, he isnt able to get much going with Gasol and Randolph on the floor with him, he brings a new dynamic with the first subs and is able to lead

You completely left off Allen from both line ups, and i highly doubt Randolph will come off the bench

I'm very interested how Jordan Adams progresses. I love his game, but I don't see where the minutes comes from when everyone's healthy. Also, expect Barnes to be a 4 at times, too.

I see Allen and Barnes starting against a good team, for a massive D. They would be the Lockdown Duo for the Grizzlies. But against more teams, Allen starting, and Barnes 1 Sub seems like a good choice.

Joerger just needs to play Jordan Adams 10-12 minutes/game this year regardless. We have to know what we have in him going forward. Totally ok giving Carter less to no minutes unless he can hit some 3s. And TA and Barnes can play less to. We have to know what our draft picks can do. Plus, we need youthful energy in some games when the older guys aren't bringing it

I agree completely. One downside to our style of play is there are few large leads where you feel comfortable going to the bear cubs.

The NBA pre-season is already underway. The more I age, the more time slips by just at the time I wish it would slow.
