MBJ: University of Memphis put on list with Harvard, Duke, Stanford
"The University of Memphis has one of the 25 top doctoral programs in business in the U.S., according to a new ranking.
Gradschoolhub.com, which tracks graduate school data, ranked the University of Memphis' Ph.D. in business the 25th in the country. The site noted the balance of the school's program, which “aims to teach students both quantitative and qualitative skills in the field, as well as help them grow comfortable with the research process.”

RE: MBJ: University of Memphis put on list with Harvard, Duke, Stanford
U of M is making strides in academics and research. Now if we could leverage some of those for even greater federal funding (now that we have received some national research leadership roles in cyber security, can we build a cyber-security business and academic research SECTOR here as we have in orthopedic devices?) and even royalty-generating businesses, as recent coverage of University of Florida royalties have revealed. That's passive income. Less income than conference revenue sharing, but more passive. So break out those ideas to change the world, and plant and nurture them in Memphis. Attract then graduate students that will build industry and hire people that will make themselves money they can spend here, not just graduates that will help others make their wealth to invest elsewhere.
I perceive that we are headed in that direction, finally, which is a relief, but just the beginning.
