DeKALB, Ill. – All members of the Northern Illinois University community are invited to attend the 32nd Induction Ceremonies for the NIU Athletics Hall of Fame, which will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Holmes Student Center on the NIU campus. Tickets are complimentary, however, an e-mail RSVP is requested.
Meet Huskie greats and 2015 inductees Michael Turner and Bob Gregolunas (football), Ben Heizer and Scott Owen (wrestling), Sandy Menard (women’s gymnastics), Charmonique Stallworth (women’s basketball) and Dr. Lou Jean Moyer (volleyball coach and administrator), as well as NIU coaches and administrators. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by the induction ceremonies at 7 p.m.
To secure your spot at the 2015 NIU Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, send an e-mail with your name and number of tickets requested to halloffame@niu.edu before October 7, 2015. An e-mail confirmation will be sent. Tickets can be picked up at the reception table outside the Duke Ellington Ballroom prior to the event on Friday, October 9.
In addition to the 2015 Hall of Fame inductees, more than 30 members of the NIU Athletics Hall of Fame and several head coaches of Huskie Hall of Fame teams are expected to attend the 2015 induction ceremonies. Those who have committed to attend to date include Kenny Battle, Dr. Mary Bell, George Bork, Larry Clark, Randy Clark, Rodney Davis, Roger Dutton, Dr. Hubie Dunn, Ruth Fender-Heal, Bob Heimerdinger, Jerry Ippoliti, LeShon Johnson, Mark Kellar, Scott Kellar, Mike Korcek, Al Kranz, John Lalonde, Justin McCareins, Joe Novak, Walter Owens, Jean Pankonin, Todd Peat, Fritz Peterson, Dave Petzke, Tim Tyrrell and Martha Unger-Grace. Hall of Famer Bill Baker will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event.
