I hear they are recruiting intramural players at the Cuse this week to see if they can find any offense for that pathetic SU football team. Who knows, maybe they can convert a third down in the next game.

Don't worry about SU football. We have actually been to a BCS game (Orange bowl) and we have a better Football history then USM to boot

In Basketball & Football the Cuse would give it to USM. Memphis will have its way in CUSA. To any Memphis fans out there I still want you guys in the Big East :D

Syracuse 101 UTEP 12

I hope this ridiculous score fed your enormous ego. Its football season, so shut the hell up. We'll see how good your orange program is come January.

UTEP has beaten Kentucky, Arizona and Kansas and other ranked teams before. Those programs have superior teams, history and tradition. What makes you think UTEP is scared to play the Orangemen? UTEP is not scared of anybody.

Rice played at UConn and Syracuse within the same week last season.

We lost by 9 at UConn.

We lost at Syracuse by 16, after trailing by 2 a minute into the second half.

Hey Pusher, ask Rutgers how UTEP fairs against teams from the Big East in basketball.

Wow, Pusher. Where did that come from? UTEP is playing at Syracuse. Big deal. I haven't read anywhere where Miner fans are predicting a victory. However, it is not like UTEP is some johnny-come-lately. They have played in big games before and, will, I imagine, play a very good game in the Carrier Dome. Trust me, Syracuse has lost to teams way worse than UTEP. Contrary to popular belief, there is some pretty damn good basketball played west of the Mississippi and UTEP has long been considered a strong team. Yes they had some down years, but just about every program does. Good luck to your team this season.

If UTEP is such a pushover, why Syracuse too Chicken $hit for a return game at the Don? I don't think we'll beat Syracuse, but at least we have the balls to play at your house. Can't say the same for you.

Big time basketball huh?

I went back the last 20 years in UTEP history to see how many teams the Miners played from the vaunted little east and what their record was against them.

Yup, just as I thought. UTEP would fare very well in that conference.

Look for yourself...

1985 UTEP 78 Georgetown (#5) 64 in El Paso
1986 UTEP 67 Georgetown (#10) 71 at Georgetown
1987 UTEP 93 Boston College 60 in El Paso
1988 UTEP 64 Seaton Hall 80 NCAA tourney
1990 UTEP 71 Georgetown (#5) 60 at Georgetown
1993 UTEP 44 Georgetown 71 NIT game at Georgetown
1997 UTEP 79 Penn State 60 in El Paso (can't remember if Penn State plays hoops in the little east)
2003 UTEP 94 Rutgers 68 in El Paso

So lets see that's a record of 5-3 against the little east over the last 20 years.

Should we be impressed that Syracuse HAS been to a BCS bowl? Or about their HISTORY?

Stetson University went to a bowl game once, and won it.

What's your point?

That's right- syracuse played in A bcs bowl - by virtue of winning a pi$$ poor BE league and, predictably, they were humiliated in the bowl game.
So with $3Mill per annum that they do nothing to earn, ESPN hype 365 days a year, one embarassing game is the best they can do.

I'll guess, negative 10. Which means UTEP will win. You know, we have a fool in El Paso who does sports who's from the Cuse. Could you possibly know him?
