National coverage for our second week in a row. The ESPN commentators will have nothing but good things to say about the offense. Less than a td point spread. It should be a great game. My one worry is shutting down Yearby. We need to make their qb beat us, but we cannot give up 10 ypc to their runningbacks. Maybe signature win time??????

Thursday night national TV games with a big time opponent are as good as it gets at Nippert. Our chance to redeem our season. A win tomorrow and much will be forgiven.

The game will be a good tell on what we have this year.

Fired up as well for this one... probably the last chance for a signature win at home this year.

Agree with this. These next 2 games are huge. Lose both and support will plummet the rest of the year. Split and it won't be as bad.

Win both and the 'Cats have a chance to redeem the season a lot of us thought they'd have.

On offense we need to strike early. The Hurricanes will be down their two starting safeties for the first half and their backup weak-side linebacker is out with injury as well. We need to make hay out of the first two quarters, plus I think a strong start will build up momentum for the second half. Most importantly, we need to limit/eliminate turnovers.

Our special teams need to get it together this Thursday-- we can't have any blocked punts, give up kickoff/punt retuns, onside kicks, blocked field goals, etc.

Both sides of the ball needs to cut down the penalties. We had what 100 yards in penalties last week?

Defense just needs to stop being a sieve.

Need to find a way to keep this one close into the fourth quarter...don't need an empty stadium on ESPN toward the end of the game.

How could you be a fan and not be fired up? I don't even care if we were 0-4 right now. I will support the Cats no matter what! Just wished I still lived there...

We only have 12 times (13?) to root for UC football each year. I'm psyched for each and every one of them.

Took off all tomorrow afternoon and Friday morning. Very excited, but I'm always excited for games at Nippert.

Tell your O$U friends that it is hard to lose when you play a schedule full of high school teams. I mean, Hawaii, Maryland, Rutgers, Indiana, Western Michigan, etc. Suckeyes were lucky to beat Northern Illinois. Do they ever play away games?

Yea, but when you are in the AAC its basically undefeated or bust. Thats what sucks about being in this conference.

I'm not getting excited so there's not a big let down. That hour drive home is so much longer after a loss.

That was a long two hour drive after the Temple game. That long drive home is partly why I dodn't get off teh couch to drive to the Miami (OH) game.

But I am pumped to tomorrow night!

Sort of off topic: after the Memphis loss, on Friday I went in to work, with my UC polo on of course (i usually wear UC gear after a win, but ALWAYS, after a loss) but everyone knows im a huge UC fan anyway, and i work with mostly UK fans, a couple O$U fans, and a good chunk of UC fans.

I walk in and from start to finish everyone starts chatting me up about the game. Diehard UK fans talked to me about college sports without mentioning UK basketball. Guys i dont normally talk with strike up a conversation about it. Everyone, from my employees to my bosses had something to say about the game, and it was all positive!

Everyone kept mention our freshman QB and how amazing he looked, the bogus calls that they all agreed cost us the game (UK and OSU guys alike), to just how fun it was watching the back and forth of the game. Not a single negative comment amongst them.

It was not something i expected going into work. Even in a loss, we got the attention of even the most... "difficult" of fan bases.

The ones in Cincinnati do for sure. If they say they don't watch they are lying.

Fwiw, when I lived in Columbus a lot of OSU fans I knew watched UC if there was not an OSU game on - especially during the BK years. Most of them told me they liked our style of play as compared to Tressel-ball.

I have a number of good friends who went to Ohio State. They like, and root for, UC. Unfortunately, it's the idiots who are vocal.

Game is now officially a lock....I just hung my old C-Paw flag circa 1999 on the front of the house.
