Army vs. Penn State
Been watching this game. Army has 3 fumbles in the wet conditions but has out-gained Penn State in a defensive battle. Currently 13-7 PSU in the 3rd Qtr and Army driving.

Also Army does have a punter.

O/T but CMU looks to be beating NIU.

Too bad they (CMU) had such a difficult OOC schedule.

I have felt all year that reports of Central's demise coming into the season may have been premature. Sure they lost a lot of talent from last years team and they lack a solid ground game but Cooper Rush has been the 2nd best QB in the MAC behind Matty Johnson of BGSU. They have a big strong offensive line, an instinctive linebacker and a gritty overall defense.

They are a hard team to get a read on though. Played Oklahoma State close for 3 quarters, beat FCS Monmouth, lost in overtime to Syracuse, played Michigan State tough for 3 1/2 quarters, and beat one of the top teams in the MAC in Northern Illinois. 2-3 overall doesnt do them justice.

Kinda the same with Western. Losses to Michigan State and Ohio State plus getting blown out by a nationally over looked Georgia Southern. Only win over FCS Murray State. I wouldnt be surprised at all if one of these two or both still end up as legit contenders for the MAC title. This weeks game in Kalamazoo will go a long ways towards determining each teams season.

Their non conference schedule have been murder but if you get out of it healthy then your program has money, exposure and are battle tested going into conference play.

Yep. Both good teams and undefeated in the MAC (but of course CMU is 1 - 0 and WMU 0 - 0) where records really count.

I love a key rivalry matchup so early in the season while interest is very high and weather is likely to be good.
