Will one of you people please place a hex on the weather, or do some sort of dance or something to improve the situation? The stupid forecast says 70% chance of rain. But what do they know?

Just finished my dance. Instead of a nor'easter you can now expect a hurricane. Hurricane Vad b!tches!

This sucks. The one game I was planning to bring all my family to (6 of us, including a 2 yo) and it is looking like a washout. The saving grace is that it is still very early and things in weather change by the hour. TWC is reporting that NJ/NY is most likely to get bad flooding. Our hope is for the storm to move up the coast faster, but the cold front from the West is being predicted to stall it right off the East Coast as it dumps tons of rain from VA to points North.

weather.com is useless this far out. they are predicting worse case for a tropical storm on the coast. not likely it will develop as predicted.

I am sure weather will not be used as an excuse when we are FBS.

So why not invest NOW in some really good GORE-TEX outerwear, jacket with hood and leggings. Add some duck boots or similar and you can attend the Stony Brook game and not worry about the forecast. Bring a plastic type seat cushion so that you are not sitting in a puddle. I have found that the rain makes standing a no brainer.
I bought my outfit in 2005 and its still going strong.

Seriously I find that this works well in even the worse rain. I do bring a change of socks and a dry tee shirt that I may have to change into after the game in case there was some leakage or perspiration made them damp.

Just saying I hope we have decent attendance for this great team of ours this Saturday.

No one is made of sugar. We are ranked in the top 5 and we can get a little wet if necessary. Be loud and proud no matter what. Our best is yet to come.

Still a lot of uncertainty with these two systems. We'll know with much more come Thursday.

I haven't looked at SBU's offensive strengths, but I'd say that a bad field just makes it a running game, and who leads the nation in rushing? I believe it's JMU.

I agree that rain is just as beneficial to our strength as anyone. Our issues always come when we put the ball in the air and especially when not necessary. We are our own worst enemy. I'm not complaining, I'm only stating that nobody can stop us but us and I mean nobody.

I have goretex pants/jacket, throw those on and the work boots, put the hood up and I am impervious.

Wife, younger daughter and I will be in Section 210 on Saturday Rootin!!
