I'd say the chances that the grass lots will be open are at or near zero, right?

Forecast keeps getting worse. This whole weekend is going to be a mess pretty much everywhere.

RE: Weather forecast for Saturday
Just kinda wondering if the weather is actually as bad as it is forecast in the game Saturday would be
moved to Sunday. If the field at BFS is flooded what would they do?

Will be there Saturday if the game is on, ROOTIN!! But probably very wet.

Hopefully all that redo of the lake and damn and entrance on Port Republic Road took care of this. The amount of rainfall in a short period of time from that storm was similar to today's. George said we may get 1-2 more inches tonight. I hope so, I could use it.

Well, I'll say it, even though it's not particularly useful or constructive (there's a first): This stuff really cramps our average attendance figures. Oh, well. I will be there with several others. Fie!

Everyone in the Hurricanes path will be listing tickets sold as the attendance. We'll say 20k or so with 10k or fewer actual butts on seats.

Really? I thought we listed actual people in the stadium. This has probably already been covered, like, 950 times in the 7 years I've been on this board and its predecessor, right?

NCAA defines attendance as tickets sold, and that's what just about every school does to my knowledge. I don't like it, but if it's common, I have no issue with JMU doing it as well. It's "leveling the playing field".
For example, last week's odu game looked half full at best, and that is being generous. Their official attendance probably still says they're 20k capacity since it was a "sold out" game.

Basketball is the dead give away. Usually attendance is listed about twice as high as people actually there.

RE: Weather forecast for Saturday
I watched some of the W&M game last week. The idiot broadcaster(who will also be doing our game with SB) said "If JMU hangs on to beat SMU, you can expect 30-40K for that game in Harrisonburg!". So, that is my prediction. We will have at least 10,000 milling around outside the stadium just hoping to get a glimpse of this one.

LOL funniest thing I've read today. Some bcs schools want crowds that size.
