Stony Brook @ JMU predictions
Stony Brook' s defense is better than SMU's, but their offense is struggling as they platoon 2 QB's. The old saying goes... if you have 2 QB's, then you have none.

JMU should be able to overplay the run much like W&M did this week to stop that traitor Stacey Bedell. Stop the run, win the game.

I suspect their strategy will be to slow the game down as much as possible and that is hard to do if you can't run.

The emotional element may come into play too. JMU is set up for a let down after the big FBS win. Stony Brook is going to be pissed after getting shut out and embarrassed by W&M.
Is that stud TE still on the roster? He has been JMU's Kryptonite the past few years.

Should be a heated and contested game with chippiness after plays.

JMU 38
Stony Brook 24

Stacey Bedell is out for this game vs JMU.

Stoney Brook 17
JMU 52

Note: Prob not 52, but until someone breaks the average I'm sticking with it. =)

So he reneged on his commitment at the last minute and now he can't play against the Dukes. That is a shame.

RE: Stony Brook @ JMU predictions
We have to take stony brook's stats with somewhat of a grain of salt because they had their FBS game thrown out due to being cancelled. Their defensive and offensive stats would likely be even less impressive if they had played the game.
The adjusted stats for their scoring defense is about 15 ppg allowed and 22 ppg scored by their offense. They'll be without their stand out offensive player, RB and JMU recruiting traitor Stacey Bedell. That is going to cost them at least one scored TD.

I think they'll have an above average scoring game against our defense but only slightly. Lets say 28, but then take away a TD due to the Bedell injury. 21 points scored.
We'll be below average and held to our fewest points total of the season, but only by 1-2 TDs at worst.

I'll say 42-21 Dukes. Herosports says we're 19 point favorites and has been pretty accurate so far this season.

What is the story on Bedell's injury? I could not find it. Is he really out?

Chuck Priore says RB Satcey Bedell will be out versus JMU this week. Big blow, but also said he'll be back for Towson game.

Was posted during the CAA teleconference this morning.

JMU 38 SBU 31. Closer than we'd like, but JMU's D will come up big at the end of the game to stop a potential game winning/game tying drive.

Their easy win against New Hampshire scared me, but that 21-0 blanking to W&M...not as much. Their DE Victor Ochi is an absolute machine, and I think this will be the best defense we've faced thus far.

RE: Stony Brook @ JMU predictions
also....fwiw their current backup QB Bednarski did well against us last year, 260 yds passing and 27 yds rushing in a game that we only won 27-24

Washington at WR played last year as well booking 89 yards.

Looks like they will be without Bedell at RB unless it is gamesmanship on their part...if he is out none of their top 5 RB's from our game last year will be playing

I am definitely Rootin' but will be interesting to see how the matchup of their D does with our O
