We have about the same case as maybe 10-15 other teams. Everyone can't be ranked. If the team keeps handling it's business they'll move into the top 25 .

Not if there's a bathtub full of P5s scrubbing each other's backs. No way is Oregon a contender this year, but maybe too many ranked teams will have to play them.

I can say these things because I'm new to FB, know nothing and this is a message board. lol

I agree. Schad is wrong---not necessarily wrong from a neutral journalistic point of view..but there's no such thing as a neutral journalist. Period. I should go back and make that more clear.

Not a fan of cryptic either.

It is Jeb...and while he disagrees with Schad, he is not being a jerk.

It would be odd if our vote totals did not increase. Indeed, whether or not we are in the actual top 25 is another story. NC State is also 4-0 for example. I do not feel any disrespect at all. Will feel disrespect if we win on the road against even a mediocre USF, because it would still be a conference road win and 5-0, if we did not get more votes.

Win the next week and we will get votes. Beat the real heavies on the schedule, Temple, Houston and Navy, and we will skyrocket.

The media knows we have won 11 straight. It's a respect thing...that was Jeb's point.

We are one of the few teams in the nation that has won 11 in a row. Can't remember but seems like there are only 2 more. Logic and stats can be twisted any way you want. And you can bring in the eye test too.

Schad has made the weaker choice in his response/reactions, not that there's anything wrong with that but he has. His answers to Jeb are pat . I am looking at this from a global view of beat writers in general. LOL.

If you watch the games, and we are judging by on field performance if Memphis should be ranked, should be bgsu be ranked

Schad seems to be correct, and being very reasonable in his responses to Jeb. Jeb isn't acting like a maniac either. What the deal, OP?

Keep winning and it will take care of its self.

Jeb and Schad are fine. Just a disagreement. It's the interwebs and to be expected.

I'm actually with Schad that there is an institutional memory to this, right or wrong. We need to keep winning to permanently change perceptions.

Things are trending well. If the team plays to it's capabities (13-0 to 9-3 ish), things will take care of themselves.

Well we had one of the top defenses in the country last year and now we can't stop anyone so they shouldn't pay much attention to it. I get wanting the best for your team but there's no need to get sensitive about this so early in the year. Take care of business and this will take care of itself.

Just ask one question. If you remove the Memphis name from the front of the jersey and put a P5 school's name in it's place. Would there be a difference in how the 11 straight wins and the 4-0 start is viewed by from the pollsters? Question isn't what have we done. It is would the same team with same results with a P5 name attached be treated the same. Hell Oregon has lost two games including a home loss by 42 and you still have people voting for them in top 25 based on where they ended last season.
