In the few carries DJ Brown had he looked like he could cut and has speed. Wouldn't mind seeing more of him. I think huff will get some good carries in today

Jordan Lynch lost a total of 4 games as the starting QB for NIU. The 2012 loss to Iowa at Soldier Field had a reported wind speed of 10 MPH. The Orange Bowl loss in early 2013 had a reported wind speed of 2 MPH. The 2013 MACC loss was played indoors at Ford Field. The 2013 loss to Utah State in San Diego reported the wind speed as "Calm."

NONE of Lynch's losses were in windy conditions. Suffice it to say, many of his wins came in windy conditions. Any notion that Lynch "couldn't handle the wind" is complete B.S.

That doesn't prove anything.

Whatever you say. To quote a great actor, "You can't handle the truth!"

Actually you are quoting a great writer. (Sorkin). Just because the actor said it doesn't mean he came up with it.

maybe already said, but you have a quarterback who looks like the football has been sitting in liquid Mazola and just sliding off his hands and all he does is CONSTANTLY lick his hands . . . . . . in the rain?? Plus he looks stupid doing it over and over and over. He needs a seasoned solid front line or forget it.

You may have not been an NIU fan for too long.
NIU lost to CMU and then won 7 games.
NIU has had 5 dream seasons.
Chances are NIU will get 6 or 7 wins and face a mighty Sunbelt or CUSA team in a Bowl game. NIU has been bowling since 2008.
That is 7 straight Bowls, 5 straight trips to Detroit.

Some people on this board are suggesting a repeat of 2007 when NIU went 2-10.
Sorry folks but we have EMU(1-4), WMU(2-3), Miami Ohio(1-4), BSU(2-3) and the mighty Buffalo (2-3) still to play. Suppose we lose to Ohio (4-1) and Toledo 4-0 and NIU goes 7-5 this year. Losing to BSU next week, then WMU is a must win game.
Should we beat BSU, most likely, then NIU will face Toledo 5-3 for a possible chance at a six-peat in Detroit.

Of those 5 teams you listed, 3 or 4 are pretty darn good. This is not the year for free lunches with MAC opponents. Its a strong conference and NIU is going to have to earn every win. Can't say that in that past.

Nothing is ever taken for granted in the wacky MAC, however NIU despite its inability to snap the ball, kick <35 yard field goals, turnover problems is still likely to win these 4 games assuming some of these problems get fixed, which I am hoping happens.
