I was really hoping Northern Illinois would have pulled it off last week against ohio State U.
Purdue lost earlier to another MAC team, I think, or maybe it was Marshall.
We're witnessing the evolution of having more than one Boise State that can routinely beat big-name schools. With the pressure on them to not play vastly overmatched opponents, we should start seeing more AAC, MAC, and C-USA matchups. Well, I guess we are already seeing that.

Gr8 point! By this phenomenon that you mentioned.....I really feel & believe that WE as Memphis, although we are craving for BIGXII;P5 acceptance (for obvious reasons), are in a very ominous position. When our facilities are completed; a couple more bowl appearances; and being competitive with teams that are constantly in AP/coaches polls as well as the emerging AAC... We are climbing to a position of,"You Better Take Notice"! We don't have location issues like a Boise or BYU and we don't come with TV restrictions like ND & Marshall ONLY has Football...
I really feel that, just like our administrators uttered,"Memphis is the BEST non-P5 University and high profile persons are VERY aware of that"!
Underneath the surface,before this is all figured out. I really believe that WE as Memphis(meaning those that make these decisions), will have a choice of Conference to be affiliated with for the foreseeable future.....JMO
