I have been watching rice football since around 1960 and I believe there are more positives about Baliff than negatives.

I think we probably have plateaued under Bailiff. But it's not a bad plateau. I wouldn't fire anyone who wins 7 a year and gets us into a bowl, particularly with all the good things he brings to the table. I do think it's fair to put some pressure on him to achieve more, particularly once the new facilities are in place, and to criticize him for shortcomings.

Assistant coaches pay HAS increased the past couple years under JK.

Which is great - we've needed to for a while. Not sure where to find salary info, but can you provide it?

Checking out the numbers, at this point Rice will almost certainly beat Florida Atlantic, Army, UTEP, and Charlotte. That brings the season win total up to six and ensures bowl qualification. The other four games will decide the season. Western Kentucky and Louisiana Tech are tossups, while the Owls have a slight edge against Southern Mississippi and UTSA. I'll give Rice the latter two and say the tossups are 50-50 (as the name implies), so for now I'll go with 9-3 for the season, 7-1 in Conference USA play and a possible division championship.
