RE: Really UTEP
So coach Kugler doesn't allow the passing game to open up until late in the game when behind. Good thinking.

Kugler's record is likely to be 2-10 this year, just like 2013, his first. Very poor performance. The team has lost it's starting QB, 3 DB's, top 2 RB's. Better QB emerged but the rest is not enough.

I said from day one that I didn't like Kugler 's offensive philosophy. That said, they are exactly where I expected them to be at this time in the season. ...2-2.

We got ourselves a real life football guru here!

From day numero uno, he all knowingly predicted UTEP would lose to Arkansas and Texas Tech and defeat NMSU and Incarnate Word!

What bold predictions! I too would be bragging about such expectations.

I did. And I said last year that Aaron Jones would get hurt and I said last year that Kugler would be too conservative and I said 5 years ago Floyd would never win a championship or go to the dance.

Time to give me my props in chuco town.

It didn't start off that way but once I started meeting so many Miner fans who couldn't see the forest for the trees, it became a crusade. You'd be surprised how many people have come back and have said "You were right about......."

If the number is anything other than zero, yes, I would be surpised. Hint hint, predicting the Miners would be 2-2 does not actually make you a guru.

No. You are correct. Like I said in another post, no one should have expected them to beat the P5 teams because that is just silly.

The Aaron Jones prediction was easy too. Anyone could have seen that using an undersized back between the tackles like that would have resulted in an injury sooner or later.

The one I'm really proud of however is the Floyd prediction. You have to admit, that was pretty damn good. Especially when you consider that Memphis left the conference a few years ago and Floyd has recruited out of his mind.

It would be impossible to put a bet on Floyd never winning a championship or going to the dance because it would take too long for the pay out. Especially when you consider that even after 5 years, there is not even a hint of an indication that they would fire him. I've come to the realization that the job is Floyd's for as long as he wants it.
