The ACC has little cache in the state of Alabama, aside from Florida State (which is closer to Mobile than some parts of Alabama), and possibly Miami and Georgia Tech. Both Alabama and Auburn no longer play Georgia Tech regularly, and Miami of course has been down for a while. NC State has virtually no history with any program in the state of Alabama.

I agree. Most people around here only know the SEC. The rest play high school football. Some people didn't even know NCSU was in the ACC. Our attendance struggle is real. Add on having to drive to the local mall, pay $5 to take a shuttle to the stadium, that may run out of water by halftime, then have to wait for the shuttle after the game to go back to the mall, and you get 21k attendance. It is what is is. I think we can easily average 20-25 with an OCS.

You're really going to love it when Alabama/Auburn fans start posting pictures of the inside of your stadium over the next couple of years. Though you guys probably won't get it as bad since you're in Mobile. Also imagine playing in a stadium that is decades older and nearly twice the size of the one you play in now. That was the UAB struggle lol.

That's funny that you say that because most of your fans don't think Troy is a threat at all.

All off-season I heard how you guys were "light-years ahead of Troy as a program" and how you were going to "lock up the 3-Star recruiting game" now that UAB's out of the picture. Even though we are ahead of you on 247. One guy on your board said "how quickly things have changed" when he saw that we were favored today as if your 27-13 win, and only win over Troy, made you Gods among peasants. Things have changed, just not in the way you guys hoped. We are righting the ship. Whether that leads to a win this weekend, who knows, but I know for sure that Troy isn't just going to go away.

Once again, thank you for your support of Jags Jungle.

We have a ton of injuries and you guys have 2 weeks to prepare.

Troy is ranked ahead of South on 247 yes, it's only September. Don't get too excited and reward Troy a national championship yet.

Plenty of fans of other schools read our board and vice versa. It's not a shocking revelation.

I was unaware of your injury situation. That doesn't make it less tough for Troy to get a "W". What's the injury list look like?

I don't expect Troy to actually beat South in recruiting this year, though it could happen. My comment was referencing those fans who feel as though a resurgent Troy is somehow equal to a non-existant UAB, and no one good is ever going to want to play football for Troy. South is the obvious choice... blah blah blah...
You guys throw in a few references to Da' Dome, TV Market, and Hall of Fame Coach and this argument will be like deja vu all over again.
