Also, how do you not teach containment? I played three years of strong safety(7th, 8th, and 9th grades 04-cheers) and I know that. I remember the coach saying, "You're a safety, with the pass no one gets behind you, with the run, no one gets outside you."

I can't explain why the DE's are diving towards the middle on every play.

Also, why are we constantly playing soft zones and never blitzing? Clink keeps dropping 8 and we're still getting shredded.

2 Senior leaders Witty and Casseus are not playing. Probably not comfortable with any sort of press and blitz. Was it Matt Draper (DNK that Don Draper had a son playing football) who wiffed on the Miami TE that was a long TD? He is true Freshman walk on. Clements had a bunch of wiffs at Memphis.

Neither Witty nor Cassius were even supposed to be on this roster this year. There had better have been a plan in place....hoping for an injury and a 6th year is a tough way to fill out the starting rotation. Not an excuse.
