Daddy ball, 2.0, just Lindsey instead of Buckley.
do fk'n what?????
your weed is better than mine pal....
You do know Lindsey coached NM in high school?
Either way, Lindsey took us out of the game with his first-half playcalling.
okay....so what
daddy ball gave us a qb that couldn't play qb and a coach that couldn't coach....I'm hardly seeing the relationship....you're going to have to be more specific how the current tandem is a problem....
lindsey may be calling the plays, but if you think that monk doesn't have a voice in the overall strategy, then I can't help ya....
Monk fk'd up today....and he overcompensated in the 2nd half by trying too much crazy shite....
Monk has to learn to let the offense fly wide open like it did in the 2nd half.....
if our offensive strategy for the entire game would've been what we did in the 2nd half (I think I mentioned something about going vertical between the seams at halftime or we lose by 40), we would have had a decent chance of going toe-to-toe over the entire game....
there is talent on this team.....monk has to let go of the reigns and let it evolve
we had nothing to lose today.....conservative right out of the gate should not have been an option with this offense and the players we have....
this one is on monken....and that's okay....as a fan, one can only hope he sees the same thing and doesn't do it again.....you gotta remember, this is the first year he has had talent to work with....I would probably be a tad skiddish with 'trust' if I was in his position....
after 4 games we sit exactly where most expected us to be....we're 2-2
what people didn't expect, is that we could have been in a better position to win the other two (and lost the tx st game) if it wasn't for some strange strategic decision making/planning/play call decisions....I may be reaching a tad, but the opportunities were there against both state and the huskers....
monk needs to stop over thinking and just let 'em go play......he has to let go of the last two years and realize this one is different....
I could go on and on, but I'll stop with this one....when was the last time we played four consecutive game with only a handful of dropped passes? I can't stress enough how that opens up everything else....If I'm Monk, I am jazzed with the talent we have on both sides of the ball....we have to be a pass first, run second against bigger/faster opponents to have a shot at winning against teams like this
it's just a game monk.....remember that....the players know how to play the game....just let 'em do it....don't be afraid to fail....the players aren't afraid anymore...that is a testament to you....continue to build a cohesive machine and develop camaraderie....that's your job as the head coach(this is what I would tell him if he asked me for advice)
we're a solid team....not great....but this is a solid team....that's all I can ask for as southern miss fan....solid works and in conjunction with the other word (team), that combination can work wonders
