At the time I don't think even we knew how thoroughly we would penetrate their organization. Mackin would have helped our cause, but we managed to work around him better than I would have guessed.

That said, the whole concept of a "public" institution issuing NDA's with abandon is disgusting and a little frightening - you can use the same procedure to cover up **** a whole lot more meaningful than football issues (and they no doubt have).

it might have doomed footballs return. I doubt we would have won six games and the crowds would have been less. I think a a lot of the outrage was after having success after so long just to have it ripped away.
