RE: Cincinnati Newspaper Story on the Game
This is what they should be mad about:
"The Bearcats fell to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the American Athletic Conference East, after being the preseason media pick to win both the East and overall league title."

UC fans should also be angry that they squandered advantages they had after years of being in the Big East and now have been caught by those teams they were so happy to laugh at for being left behind.
F Tubberville and F Cincinnati.
I hope they lose every game.

Tuberville referred to our defense as "good"?

Maybe he's the one with the concussion.

Well, they were pretty decent in the red zone and had a couple of outstanding plays. I'm trying to be a "glass half full" guy here.

We are better in the red zone. I suppose it's harder to give receivers a 10-15 yard cushion when you are backed up to the end zone.

If all you saw were a couple outstanding plays, you weren't watching.

RE: Cincinnati Newspaper Story on the Game
I just re-watched the first half. defensive line played better than I thought. I cant figure out what we are trying to do on defense overall though. we flew around though and played hard, just are lined up weirdly and are scared to dang death of getting balls thrown over our head I guess (but playing that soft we're still getting balls thrown over our heads). we did have 3 ints and a pick six though and that's good.

I dont think its the players at this point. I think its the alignment and philosophy that aren't meshing.

The young men played hard. The DBs are young and will learn from their mistakes so by the end of the year they will be ok. One thing I noticed about our safeties and DBs. Quite a few times they were looking at sideline for the play and they were caught off guard when the ball was hiked. At times it looked like there was some confusion of what play was called.

I have heard and read many time that the players were saying the problems were with communication.

It has nothing to do with being full of ourselves. I still remember the Cincinnati players making bowling motions to our fans when they were gifted that 4th and forever at the Liberty Bowl. I remember Tubberville talking @#$# about Memphis when he was out of a job. We could go 0-12 and I'd still hate those idiots. So thanks for the lecture.

And our D also forced three interceptions and returned one for a TD. There were few rays of sunlight in an otherwise dreary defensive result. Hopefully, we will improve from the experience.
