Yep. Honeslty I didn't have a horse in the race so it didn't matter to me who won until later in the game I started pulling for Cincy just because of the game the backup was having. That throw was his only real mistake.

That means there had to be "incontrovertible evidence" to overturn it. Either that, or you're saying the officials intentionally cheated. Those are the only 2 options, folks. No luck involved.
P.S. ESPN is under no obligation to show all the tape the officials might have seen, so there is no way to be certain it was wrong by watching TV. Simple. They saw something viewers didn't see, or they cheated. No other logical explanation.
If they didn't review it and reverse the call, then naysayers would have a better augment.
Im saying Memphis got lucky that the refs screwed up. The fact they haven't shown the "incontrovertible evidence" sot of suggests they don't have it to me.
Either way, game over, move on.
I got it. And I'm saying if they called it no fumble and didn't review it, you could say that. But there's no logical way they screwed up a review where they overturned the call, unless they cheated. Remember, an overturn has to be no doubt.
You saying they don't have evidence b/c they aren't showing it is tinfoil hat territory.
The real question is why are some Memphis fans so adamantly defending something that cannot be proven? Nobody is going to take the win away from Memphis if it were to come out that the overturn was a bad call.
I was at the game. when they were reviewing that call I was talking with the guys around me about how it was ruled a fumble and we lost the ball (and the game more than likely) unless they overturn it.
Then they showed the replay on the jumbotron. After seeing that there was a collective sigh of relief. There was no way the call would stand. And it didn't.
I was shocked to find out the day after the game that there was a controversy. I watched a replay yesterday and I understand why now. And I can tell you ESPN did NOT show the replay that was played in the stadium on the jumbotron.
However, watching the replay brought up a couple of other blown calls... one of those being on the Tigers' drive prior to the game winning drive.
Memphis started deep on our end of the field. The refs failed to trow the flag on an obvious defensive offsides that would have given Memphis a first down. Had that drive continued we don't know how the remainder of the game would have played out.
Instead, we had to punt which led to a Cincy score.
Memphis could've possibly been up 2 scores late in the 4th if not for the missed call.
I had forgotten about that defensive offsides that didn't get a flag. That was indeed the most obvious blown call of the game from a spectator perspective. It wasn't nearly as critical at the moment as the fumble/no fumble call, but it appeared blatant.

Jumbotron got it right. Replay officials got it right. TV commentators agreed. Extra replay analysts agreed.
Yet we still get
