The Memphis - Cincinnati game helps both BXII hopes
Excitement off the charts. Offense, offense, offense. 1,300 yards of it. 11 wins in a row. Fantastic, loud crowd. Best show in a long time. 04-cheers

ESPN Stats & InfoVerified account ‏@ESPNStatsInfo /ESPNStatsInfo Memphis: 6th straight game scoring at least 40 points, the longest active streak in the FBS (twice as long as any other active streak)

RE: The Memphis - Cincinnati game helps both BXII hopes
Just watched ESPN replay after being at the game and the announcers were really pumping up the game as an exciting blow-by-blow boxing match of two high powered offenses. (Kept saying 'what a game') They kept praising Paxton and said that he lived up to expectation on national TV to be an Heisman candidate and they were pumping up Moore for Cincy coming in and playing his tail off. What's funny is that they really didn't bashed Memphis defense as I though they would and actually to me the defense didn't 'looked' that bad overall on TV compared to me being there and throwing fits about them playing off the WR's and giving up big plays. They really liked our offensive schemes and compared it to Oregon and Ohio State.

It reminded me of the TCU-Baylor game last year.

I wish the B12 would take both to get to 12, get a title game and move on but there just seems to be no movement. The should have taken Louisville when they had the chance even if it meant being at 11 for a while but they muffed that one.

Last two games were heart-stopping thrillers, but Memphis won't be able to run up and down the field against Ole Miss, Navy, Tulsa and Houston. Wish them luck, however, because I'm hoping to watch UM in a New Year's Day game.

We will likely not score as much...but we will move the ball against anyone.

Bit of myth coming from some other schools. Being good and getting an upset does not translate to being 1980s Miami.

We will likely continue to allow some points, although defenses can improve more easily than offenses, and there will certainly be games where offensive players have off games, but those will be anomalies and likely as self inflicted as they are from another squad.

Hopefully our coaches and players do not play as scared as many of our fans seem to be.

I was gonna say--

if last night didn't look like a B12 game, then I don't know what does.

I told my dad as we were walking out, both schools showed themselves extremely well in the national spotlight.

I think the ACC would be wise to be the first to build a SUPER-CONFERENCE adding CINCY NAVY MEMPHIS & a host of choices for a fourth team between BYU (as a stretch) UCF from FLA region Houston/SMU from TEX region or even UCONN from Northern region just depending on what's the best fit.....Louisville has been added, but is in need of historical rivals.....having NAVY in-conference brings considerable revenue from Dame matchups as well as armed forces ops...

The old rivalries from conference USA days will also help bolster excitement within the league as well as allow time to create new ones as well.....I just don't trust leadership of BIGXII, it's VERY obvious that their agendas are narrowly focused & that ain't gonna change by adding teams that they are forced to add to be revelant...

UCF sports writer (must have hurt) >>>

Also, if Memphis keeps playing football like this, I feel like they are a lock for the #Big12.

What you witnessed last night was Big 12 style football.
