Big 12 May Considered Rules In Vetting Incoming Freshman Players
http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball...enrollment
They are looking to bar any players who had a history of violent acts in high school including rape. This could prevent that QB that joined Hocking College JC from joining a Big 12 team for his role in the rape that his team mates have done in Stuebenville, Ohio a few years ago which the court case was in national news. With what is going on with players from Baylor and TCU being in the news lately, I am seeing after the Winston case? They want to avoid any backlash in the media. In other words, they are cleaning house to keep bad kids out of playing any sports in the Big 12.

Wonder if DGB would have been allowed under this.

Yep. Petrino is a dirtbag. Jurich is a dirtbag for hiring him. Pitino is a dirtbag.
The ACC is really going to enjoy Louisville. Between being the redheaded academic stepchild of the conference they also have no problem hiring and signing anyone who can help win no matter the background is.
I remember when Pitino was banging women in the bathroom and Petrino wrecked his harley with mistress on back. Nobody else wanted them but Louisville.

No reason to let a few facts get in the way of trolling.....
One more arrest and Clemson will join Louisville with the same number. How will you ever cope. How a university can so many amazing fans, I had the pleasure of meeting many of them last week, yet the only one here is a complete nimrod. Lucky for us we don't judge an entire fan base by one narrow minded message board poster. BTW I will be in Clemson in September next year. I would love to meet you.
As for Oklahoma State. Now we know why they wear orange. 14 arrests in the last 5 years. Your athletes can go straight from the field to picking up trash on the highway without worrying about changing.
Now I will let both of you return to your normal Beavis and Butthead routine.

Wow, it only took to the 3 & 4 post to derail the thread. Is that a trolling record?

Let me know when we not only have a Devonte Fields or Josh Hardy-Clemons on our roster but we actively pursued them AFTER their transgressions.

While I support the idea in general I do not like this approach.
Domestic violence laws are so out of control these days that all it takes is an acquisition to ruin somebody. It needs to be far more comprehensive than a simple check the box yes or no.

I don't think it is that. I think it is more the teams who can't or won't take them, ensuring the others can't have them either. I don't know this obviously, but I seem to recall when the Big 12 formed, one thing they did was make a rule banning, I want to say partial qualifiers, or non qualifiers, or something that was one of Nebraska's bread and butter. Since they won't take them, let's make sure our competitor's don't either.

Don't most states have "clean slate" laws? Unless a kid is tried as an adult, they are given a clean slate at 18? If so, I don't see how the B12 could implement this type of rule.
