My posts are slowed over here over the last 4 months.......primarily because of the lack of any responses....and very few in-depth discussions.....(and surgery over the summer didn't help, either).

But with AST getting as bad as it is right now........any of you guys gonna frequent this board more? The atmosphere over here has always been cool in my book.

Yep. Well, as of today I've left AST again. I had hoped that it had improved with the redesign.....and it WAS better for a couple of months. But things have degenerated again and I'm sick of it. Well......I gave it one more chance. If they ever install an "ignore" button over there I'll return.

As it is, there's not much point in posting anything over there anymore.......it either falls on deaf ears or gets misinterpreted by some idiot.

Good to see more activity over here. I will still visit AST because I do have friends over there. BUT it is a pain
in the butt having to wade thru garbage to get to any interesting posts over there.
That said, let's get this site cranked up!

I'll definitely go back over there if and when things improve.......it's a shame because it can be a good place to post......but right now it just isn't.

And I'd like to remain over here as well.......I like this board, but folks kinda left me all alone over here after awhile!! :frown:

I tell you, this has been a bad day all over for me. I've been on the phone on HOLD :mad: most of the day here at work dealing with retailers and credit card issues.......good lord there's no such thing as customer service anymore......I'm tired and aggravated.

I sure hope the Cocks can make me feel better by this time tomorrow.

I check this board a couple of time daily.

Well, I'm going to change my mind and continue to post on both boards.......and I'm hoping things get better.

I was having a really, really bad day personally Friday......and I may have overreacted a bit, which I apologize for. Hey, it happens.

One lesson I've learned and should always keep in mind: When you're having a bad day, stay off of internet forums.

This board seems to be more interesting, but I don't see new posts very frequently.

What has been the recent history of this board (per you AST vets)?

It's not as active as I'd like. Most of the ASTers who once posted here didn't stay long; I really don't know why. Maybe a lot of those posters LIKE to post where there are some childish flamers. I don't know. But they didn't hang around.

So......I haven't posted much here, either......there isn't too much conversation. I'd love to see that change, though. I've seen very little "flaming" over here........

- We are the #1 forum for the MAC
- We just became the #1 forum for CUSA... which has a BOTD board.
- The lounge is a good place for general off the wall discussion.

I posted over here for a while. About two months after everyone came here from AST they all went back, I continued to post for a while and realized I was talking to myself, havent posted here much since.

So, what's the prediction for this board. It is going to stay active or do we have to keep putting up with all of the junk on AST? :bang:

Maybe we should post an invite topic to get more people from AST to this link?......or do you prefer to keep it to a select few? :ninja:

IMO AST is controlled by a select few (w/ several different handles) who have developed a group of followers. They seem to dictate the mood, attitudes, & overall type of posts posted. As long as those few (& their aliases) remain, most of the others will too.

Most of them know about this place, but once AST got it's site running again the masses that flocked here, flocked back.

I would personally love to see around 5-7 regulars here. I think the mods here would do a good job of limiting the personal stuff & hard core flames that goes on over there, thus allowing for a pleasant environment for folks to talk sports.

AST's all about brawls & oneupsmanship. Not much more.
