Still Too Early Bowl Guesses

Wow. Temple must really be good. Apparently, they will split up the team and play in two different bowl games.

That said, I don't see Texas as a bowl team. They're staring down the barrel of finishing the first half of their season at 1-5 (three straight games against top 25 competition coming up), and I just don't see them going 5-1 the rest of the second half of the season to finish at 6-6. If they upset Ok State, TCU or OU, then yeah, I could see them making a bowl game.

Agreed...especially in the historic Cotton Bowl. Would be a fun game to watch.

UT is on that list of teams that I would pay untold riches to play against in a bowl game. My top 5 are:

Notre Dame (Duh)
Penn State
Nebraska (I am an old school fan)
Miami
USC (I hate em)

My closest friend atm is a Penn State alum - I would love to play Penn State in a bowl game.

Even if they did, 6-6 doesn't guarantee a bowl game. I should know...

This!! If your ND it guarantees a Access Bowl. Point being that even at 6-6 they would never let them slip so low as to play a non-P5. Penn State was 6-6 last year and they sent Illinois instead. Its just as much politics as it is football. I hope I am wrong though.
