RE: OT: R.I.P. Yogi Berra
As a highly popular professional athlete in New York City, playing for the (at the time) most successful and high-profile franchise in American sports, Yogi Berra went from total obscurity to national (and eventually, international) fame in his 20s, and then lived with that fame for more than 60 years. That's a long time to have people staring at you in restaurants and to have the media watching your every move. Yet for all that, I've never heard of Any negative or derogatory information about the man, and I've heard countless stories about how good he was as a person and how he never had an enemy in the world. Not too many people (famous or not) about which you can say that. RIP.

When I started collecting baseball cards as a kid, his was the very first "old timer" card I obtained (TOPPS 1954, #50). I still have it more than 30 years later.
