I am sick of hustlebelt, I wish that little site would vanish quite honestly.

Pretty much sums it up. We all hate losing, plain and simple it sucks. If you don't feel bad after losing, then you're probably not into sports.
But if you're going to lose, playing front of 100K against the #1 team in the country, a team that has every material advantage over you, and taking them down to the wire in a game you weren't expected to be in? Welp, that's the way to do it.

If you read this article and didn't see the game, you would have thought NIU only "sorta embarrassed itself". Hustlebelt is so worried and sick of NIU getting attention over other MAC institutions that they are on this eternal crusade, it just gets really old after awhile.

The MAC is an Ohio/Michigan conference. Hence the reason I am never surprised when the MAC media picks Toledo or some other Ohio or Michigan school to win the MAC west and the MAC over NIU. Hustlebelt just reflects that reality.

It's not an article, it's a fanpost. Any idiot, you or me, could've written it. Don't get so upset.

Congrats! You've joined the fraternity of writers that has upset MD....which is to say, all of them. I thought you had some genuinely funny stuff in your "how can NIU beat OSU" thing.

Ha....People talk about respect and attention....but criticism is part of that. People aren't just going to fluff NIU when they do good things.
You want to be talked about? People are going to criticize you too.

That was the intention of the piece.
It started out as a legit thing to see what NIU would have to do in order to beat OSU, but then some of the things just sounded so stupid and impossible that I decided that turning it into a humorous, tongue-in-cheek piece would be better.
And it should be noted that I deliberately avoided listing anything having to do with injury or downright cheating. Didn't want to go that route with it.

I guess hiring a team of assassins isn't sporting.

I didn't realize it was a fanpost, when I saw the negatives were 3X as large as the positives I just assumed it hustlebelt being hustlebelt again, my bad.

Nor is speculating that wet & rainy conditions would result in the entire OSU defense getting injured, or that Victor E. would tackle Brutus into Urban Meyer or some other important OSU figure, resulting in said person getting injured, which were two thoughts that entered my mind.
