Tuberville Tuesday Presser: Memphis Week
Quote:Tom Groeschen ‏@TomGroeschen 11m11 minutes ago
Tuberville says Kiel took some snaps in practice Monday. Still day to day. NOT a head injury, more of a shoulder injury, coach says.

Quote:Tom Groeschen ‏@TomGroeschen 7m7 minutes ago
More in upper shoulder, not a rotator cuff with Kiel. No problem throwing, just soreness, Tuberville said.

'He'll have a good chance to play.' --Tuberville on Kiel

Quote:Tom Groeschen ‏@TomGroeschen 4m4 minutes ago
Tuberville said Kiel wanted to come back in vs. Miami, was held out as precaution.

How are you going to complain about the kid's toughness at the beginning of the season and then hold him out when he wants to return?

Quote:Tom Groeschen ‏@TomGroeschen now19 seconds ago
The #3 QB for #UC is redshirt frosh walk-on Luke Wright. Former QB (now DB) Jarred Evans also will get reps in practice, Tuberville said

Important distinction. TT postgame: "(Kiel) got his bell rung a little bit. ... He was just fuzzy the whole time."

He went through concussion protocol and passed from what they are saying. The lingering issue is the shoulder.

There is usually an explanation for Ol'Crazy Like A Fox when it comes to the misunderstandings in comments to the media. First run from him is rarely the story we end up sticking with .

He meant he was wearing a fuzzy velour jump suit and dropped his cowbell,.....not that he had a head injury.

Same staff that rolled Shaq Washington back out there after it was clear to the entire world that he was staggering around a little punch drunk. Not pleased with this apparent trend in downplaying head injuries. Even "minor" ones if there is a thing. And I do think that is what is potentially happening here if everyone is being honest.

He explained what happened to Shaq in video above. Makes perfect sense to me

Wonder if this shoulder deal is not something that just happened in the Miami game? Seems like Kiel has been 'off' all year and this goes back to reports out of training camp too.

I'm sure he did. I have not watched it. I'm just going on what I saw in that game - a kid who took a helmet and shoulder pad to the helmet who then started weeblin' and wobblin'. Perhaps it was something else. Gunner I have no explanation for other than his coach said he got his bell rung in the post game interview. There is no interpretation there.

Glad I could bring a chuckle. It's all I can do to keep laughing with the near daily strangeness that comes out of this program of late.

I was thinking the daily strangeness that comes off this site...it gets to a point where you feel people want UC to lose so they can bash Tubberville...

RE: Tuberville Tuesday Presser: Memphis Week
Sorry. I'll be more considerate of your feelings going forward when our coach says dumb things to the media like we started backups on STs and got burned , these Miami games are really good games, our QB got his bell rung.....but now it is his shoulder....then when pressed about which one perhaps it's his back...or perhaps its not. Who's to say?

.

I think anytime Tuberville talks to the media in any capacity there should be a soundbed of Yakety Sax underneath his comments.
