I definitely think they're a program on the rise, but they've got to take that next step and beat a top power...no moral victories
This ^^^. Same with ECU. Gotta win some big games to get Boise type respect.
People have already forgotten about the close game with tOSU. Win that game and they remember for 5 years +.
I guess we'll have to settle for Boston College's scalp and whoever we beat in the access bowl this year, if we make it
LOL....yes, and Boston College is just going to lay down and let NIU "scalp" them in Chestnut Hill, of course. BC may have lost its starting QB, but the subs are very good, and BC's defense is one of the best in the country.
I will be at the game, and expect it to be a good one! That said, we'll just have to see about this "scalping" thing! Don't be surprised if the result is different than what you expect. :)
I meant no disrespect at all, i do not expect it to be an easy win at all for NIU and would not be surprised to see the other option be the outcome. BC has a very serious Defense this year

Yep NIU crapped the bed with an offensive showing that looked horrendous. I give BC some credit for the D, but our coaches called a terrible offensive game to help y'all out but you still played the more complete game. Good game

BC lost its QB last week and it showed. Both the BC QB's have little game action. Jeff Smith is an 18 year old true freshman and Troy Flutie is a RS Freshman. Both will be very good but right now they are very inexperienced.
The story of the game was the BC defense. It is one of the best in the country. NIU only mounted one sustained drive that ended in a missed field goal. The two NIU scores were on a near pick six and a kickoff return for TD.
Good game to NIU, any you have very good fans. Met some of them today and they were very nice.
