That's such a blatant lie that its not even funny. Why is an FCS fan even posting here? Did I miss something?
Future SBC team. We posted here before we became members too; as did App and GS fans.

Not a lie. Just a simple observation. Granted, I live in a more affluent suburb right outside of the city, so maybe it is just that Texas State has more alumni that make it to that higher socioeconomic level than UH grads. I don't know. I just know what I see.
As to why I am posting here, it is because Coastal was invited to be FBS and starts the transition process in the coming year.

I agree with this. I drive around a lot in Houston and I see it in this order:
Texas AM
Texas Tech
LSU
Texas
Texas State
U of H
Sam Houston State
Rice
other

I really have no bone to pick with UH. I'm just calling it how I see it. There is more bobcat apparel being sported around here than UH stuff.
If you ask a typical UH team how "their team" did this weekend, most will start talking about how JJ Watt and the Texans did.

If there was more Texas State apparel around, they would be outdrawing us in attendance, there would be a Texas State section in Academy and whatnot and they would get better tv ratings in Houston. Again, you dont have to lie so you can impress conference mates.

BAHAHA.... *shakes head*....I'm hoping for a conference win here, but I think Houston takes this one.

Again...not lying. Just expressing my experience. Granted, it is anecdotal, so take it for what it's worth. But that has indeed been my experience.
Sounds like there's another fan of an unrelated team above that has experienced something similar, so I'm not alone.
I like UH just fine. In fact, your AD Hunter Yurachek came from Coastal. He did a decent job for us. I respect him.
So that probably means we will be facing off with you guys in the future as an FBS program. Yurachek even tweeted out his congratulations to Coastal when we announced our move.
I think we will see you guys on the football field in the coming years. Until then, we can be friends.

Shall I try to explain this? Ok, you convinced me.
No where did he say that he saw more TXST stuff sold anywhere. Never mentioned anything about game attendance (Yeah, you really can't get more than 30K in a 30K stadium without bringing in some bleachers so, there's that) or TV ratings. What he did say was that where he lives/works, he tends to see more folks repping TXST than UH. A particular area of Houston, not the whole dang city.
TXST does have a very large alumni fan base in Houston. I wouldn't say it's improbable that he sees this.

Didn't you hear? Houston just overtook Ohio State in the polls, was crowned AAC champs, the NCAA decided to cancel the rest of their games because c'mon everyone knows they have already won, given an honorary playoff spot, and is now the most popular college football team in Texas... I hope one day TXST beats Louisville and becomes one of the nations most elite teams.

He's one of those ethanol farmers. We hate them in Houston.

Dont go calling people liars bro. He said from "his experience" which could be the same or different when compared to other folks in Houston. Be Cool.

I think Houston has a good team, but their level of "goodness" is slightly less than Texas State's level of "goodness." I think this is most evidenced by both teams' performances this season.
I think if Houston can get some first downs, they will have a better shot by keeping Texas State's offense off the field. But ultimately, Texas State's offense is going to score points. And scoring points wins the game.
I'm not sure you have been watching both teams.
obviously not as houston would thump somiss. txst is game but as they showed last week their defense cant stop anybody right now and houston will be much better on offense than the golden eagles. I root for all the belt teams to win, so I will be pulling for the upset

I'm guessing about 23.56% of the info.
