Much more likely that our own players/coaches will get booed, IMO.

For all the years I've watched EMU football I can't recall students and fans booing their own players.

Truly the end of the program if that were to ever happen.

MAC roundup and look ahead, including EMU.
http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/.../72578738/
BTW, some teams REALLY, REALLY have tough, too tough, schedules. E.g., CMU plays Okla State, Syracuse, and MSU. WMU plays MSU and OSU.
Like hello, aren't OSU and MSU ranked #1 and 2 in some poll this week?? (EDIT: yes, the AP poll).

I respect the hell out of WMU for playing MSU at home and giving them a great game--students and alumni will be talking about that "experience" for years to come and there is no amount of money that can buy that. However, MSU and OSU in the same season? I think that is IRRESPONSIBLE. That is a great way to injure your players and wreck your MAC season.

I just hope we come home from Baton Rouge without 6 more starters on the injured list.
Anyone else notice Harris didn't finish the game at DE? Another injury I'm assuming?

Apparently had a "minor" surgery. I don't know the nature or how long he'll be out.

Any surgery you can count on 4-8 weeks depending on what it is. Take the average of 6, and his year is effectively over. Hope we don't have to burn redshirts just because we run out of bodies!

Plus, after the last two games OSU is going to want to make a point. WMU is in for a very rough game Saturday. I expect Elliott to get a lot of carries.

I agree. OSU won't be sleeping and playing sloppy football Saturday.

My take was, he is physically talented but when it comes to learning the playbook...not so much.

If anyone wasn't aware, veteran and active military as well as Washtenaw 100 members will receive tickets for $5.

What a perfect weekend for football. No reason for students, fans, friends, alumni & veterans not to come out.
Ready for win #2

My wife and I are really enjoying our season tickets. I'm glad I decide to purchase them this season. Looking forward to the Army game. And kudos to my wife who started watching EMU football circa 2007 with EMU and Northwestern at Ford Field. She had lived in Michigan all her life and never been to the eastern side of the state.
And yes lets get win number 2.
