I think that's a pretty fair line. NIU's offense looked like it struggled against a good defense (obviously one of the best in the country), and BC has a great D. I wouldn't be surprised if it moved +- 3.

Offensive line better kick butt and Ness better snap the ball great in this game.

Looks like a classic letdown game for our Huskies though. So much anticipation for Ohio State then the close game where our guys played their hearts out... How much gas is left in our second straight long road game?

They'll be ready to go. The worry is going to be against Central Michigan the weekend after.

You may just need to pop a tape in the VCR to get them ready for that game at least.

I believe 7 is correct, something tells me the team is not into Moral Victories, so they will be out for BC..... If our O is clicking a little better than at OSU, and our D is solid, I like our odds....

I'm very scared for the CMU game. I think it will set the stage for what is to come for the rest of the season. If we can pull off a win, I feel very good about the rest of the season. NIU is going to be very beat up after playing 3 conescutive very strong opponents (tOSU, BC, CMU) by week 6. I think the MAC is going to be very strong this year.

CMU isn't BC. We should be able to gain a mismatch against their D. They'll either stuff the LOS and Hare can beat them throwing or we can run it down their throats. It'll be tough because it's a road game but last year was a fluke...

CMU is not quite BC level, but they are a tough hard nosed team that can bring it defensively. Cooper Rush is a freaking magician, the kind of QB that pulls play out of his rear that can kill us.

We always struggle with CMU, especially up there.

If NIU gets road wins @ BC and @ CMU, they will be in the top 3 discussion for that Access Bowl spot, no doubt. I would rate the teams on how good of a spot they are in right now as:

1) Toledo
2) Memphis
3) Houston
4) Boise State
5) Temple
6) NIU

They do the low snap on purpose for some reason. The announcer somehow missed that in all the tape he proclaimed to watch of NIU.

Boise over NIU? Why? Just because they are media favorites? I guess I can agree to that.

If NIU wins out, I think they have the edge over every other team with their 'worst loss' to OSU

Yep, if Boise State was a person on a job interview, they would literally have to call the employer a mofo to not get the job.

RE: Week 4 - NIU at Boston College
Can't overlook Spalding & their TE, either. I was watching them on sat vs. Syracuse & the 2nd half so reminded me of that horrible loss @ home last year. I think CMU literally used the same playbook @ the Cuse that they burned us with. Spalding; god that guy could barley walk on the sideline from all the punishment & hits he takes, but next series he's running all over the damn field!
CMU defense not too bad either... Syracuse wound up on their 3rd & 4th string QB's because of injuries. Those QB's don't know much of the playbook & clearly can't throw = predictable; but CMU had the Orange Defense on field for majority of the 2nd half.
1-week @ a time & we'll be just fine
Go Huskies!!! 04-cheers
