Even with that win, I would find it hard to believe they would put a 2 loss MAC team in this early
No they wouldn't. The voters aren't that stupid.
Yeah they are !! They just ranked Michigan ahead of Toledo !!

RE: UT #30 in this week's AP poll
Michigan has a road loss to undefeated Utah who just pummeled Oregon. And beat a ranked team 31-0. For 3-1 michigan to be ranked, we shouldnt be surprised. Would a G5 with that same resume be in???? Of course not, but its Michigan and they do have a Big10 schedule coming up where they can win some games. I expect UM to go 8-4 at worst this season. They have NW, michigan State, Indiana, and OSU left on the schedule that can beat them. And not all will.
No snubbing has been done yet. StAte and Arkansas are 1-3. Arkansas plays tennessee this week. ISU plays Kansas. stAte plays Idaho. Some wins with a UT win would be what the Rockets needed. Not to mention 3 or 4 teams barely in the top 25 play teams higher in the top25, so that will help Toledo squeek in IMO.

You make it sound like they will automatically beat the other B10 teams like Rutgers, PSU, etc. Michigan can easily drop a game against those teams. Not sure what Michigan has done to garner a prediction like that. Yes they pummeled BYU which was impressive, but I would hold off.
Utah looks great, but UM fans are ridiculous by saying "they could have won". The game was on its way to being 31-10 until that Utah player made a stupid late hit out of bounds and it extended the drive and made the game look closer than it actually was. I think 8-4 or 7-5 is realistic in my opinion.

They could have put it in OT. And possibly won. UM had 3 INTs which cost them the game. Same Time of Possession, UM had a bit more yardage and better 3rd down conversions. Both had same amount of 1st downs. UM's first game with a new QB, and on the road -- not a bad, close loss. And no, I'm not a UM fan. Just being real.

The rest of the big10 is the calliber of oregon state which they won pretty easily. At the very least BYU was better than Rutgers and Maryland etc... I wouldnt predict UM to lose to any teams you mentioned. In fact they will be 15+ points favorites to those teams. They looked like a team saturday that could beat MSU or Ohio State. Northwestern doesnt impress me either. We will see. The final point remains that UM will always be ranked ahead of the Toledo's of NCAA when they start 3-1 and their loss is to #10 in the country.

I def think as of now Michigan deserves to be ranked. Blew out a ranked team, win over another p5 team, and a close loss to what is now a top 10 team.
At the very least that is a better resume than some of the other ranked teams.

What makes no sense is Florida jumping 15 spots from 40th to 25th after barely beating a mediocre Tennessee team.
