After the complete animation, I am now drawn to Middle Tennessee. They have a lot of characters on their team. I might have to toon in for their next game.

RE: Week 3 CUSA Power Rankings
I think MTFAN didn't get much sleep last night after our huge win, lol!

1. MT - Completely dominating performance over Charlotte; offense is phenomenally improved
2. Rice - Good win over North Texas, a good start in the West Division
3. Southern Miss - MUCH improved from last year and a good win over TX State
4. WKU - Let down against a beatable Indiana team; lots of room to improve
5. Marshall - Win over an FCS team as expected, QB play unstable
6. LA Tech - Almost beat a good KState team and just tired out in the end; very strong team
7. FIU - A good performance over a not good NCCU team
8. UTEP - Winning over NMSU is always a positive
9. FAU - Bad loss to Buffalo; not sure where the O went after Miami
10. UNT - Not as bad as expected this year, but got slammed by Rice
11. ODU - NC State a tough match-up for a rebuilding ODU
12. UTSA - Horrible loss to a very good team, AZ game seems ages ago
13. Charlotte - Some silver lining, 49ers will improve over time

3 Marshall 2-1, win over Purdue, a loss to a MAC school, and a blowout over a weak 1aa hbcu Norfolk St
4 MT 2-1, covered the spread @ Alabama, and blowout wins over two bad teams
5 Rice 2-1, blowout win over 1aa team, 2TD loss at a mediocre Texas, & conference win over UNT in Denton
6 FIU 2-1, road win over a bad UCF, 2TD loss @ Indiana, blowout win over hbcu nccu
7 Southern Miss 2-1, loss at home to MSU, blowout of austin peay, and road win over tx state 56-30
8 FAU 0-3, tought road loss at Tulsa, home losses to Miami(FL) and Buffalo.
9 ODU 2-1, road win at weak Eastern Mich, 2td win over a 1aa hbcu Norfolk St, and 24pt loss at NC State.
10 Utep 1-2, 35 and 49 point blowout losses @ Arkansas & TxTech and road win @ weak NMSU in OT
11 Utsa 0-3 blowout losses to two top 25 teams in Arizona, Oklahoma State, and 27 point loss at Kansas St
12 North Texas 0-2, losses to Rice and SMU

RE: Week 3 CUSA Power Rankings
Here's my roll of the dice.

1. WKU (Should drop them simply for blowing shot at the Access Bowl. 03-wink )
2. MT (Scored 70 on 2 inferior teams. Win next 2 (or 3) and I'll be impressed.)
3. Rice (Good ol' David Bailiff.)
4. LA Tech (Playing tough but eventually have to win.)
5. Marshall (YAY Purdue. BOO Ohio.)
6. Southern Miss (2 ins already. That's improvement.)
7. FIU (UCF win losing luster.)
8. ODU (We'll see where they stand this week against APP.)
9. UTSA (Hard to judge due to level of opponents.)
10. UTEP (I think they'll show improvement with the QB change. No home games yet.)
11. Charlotte (Maybe not as bad as they looked yesterday? We'll see.)
12. North Texas (Fought back but got manhandled by Rice most of the game.)
13. Florida Atlantic (8 consecutive losses. Wow, Owls)

Five who will be bowl eligible and compete for the championship:

1. Western Kentucky
2. Louisiana Tech
3. Rice
4. Middle Tennessee
5. Marshall

Two who may reach bowl eligibility and beat one of the top 5:
6. Florida International
7. Southern Mississippi

Not playing to pre-season predictions, but still could be dangerous:
8. Florida Atlantic
9. UTEP

Bringing up the rear:
10. North Texas
11. Old Dominion
12. UTSA
13. Charlotte

I agree with this. I haven't ruled out USM for the championship yet though.

Tech needs a pass defense or all our games are going to be 45-42, either way. So far, we are on the losing end of that.

Ditto Rice, with a stinging giveaway loss to Texas on turnovers and special team gaffs.

Tech vs. Rice will be a race to 50.

Good to know. Our D was better against MSU (much better tackling), so I think they will always be enough to give us the edge if it comes to a shootout. Our QB has improved and the WRs have improved a lot. RBs are the top group in the league. We're not back to our old level, but with more discipline (read: less penalties) I think we can compete for the West Crown.
