ABC Saturday Night Football
Looking ahead, Notre Dame-Clemson and Miami-Florida St. appear likely picks to be shown on ABC Saturday Night Football 10/3 and 10/10, respectively.

SEC home games cannot be shown, and Big Ten games must be selected before the season. The Pac12 will have made two straight appearances after next week's UCLA-Arizona game. The Big 12 has some good matchups in week 5, but nothing comparable to Notre Dame-Clemson. Should be announced tomorrow.

Week 6 (10/10), Clemson-Ga.Tech is also a compelling matchup. I'd guess an ABC or ESPN slot for that one at either Noon or 3:30 pm.

Possible, although Week 5 features Alabama at Georgia (likely 3:30 CBS game).

Lol, GameDay would be wise to avoid the curse of Al Golden. He is a walking bad omen.

They'll take ND-Clemson because that's ratings in the bank. In the past they took night games between Notre Dame and Purdue, Pitt, and bad Michigan Stare teams. Compared to that, Clemson is a jackpot.

Well we need to beat UMass, and going off on our history of playing down to opponents this will be a close game.

Agreed. I just want a win and no injuries.

I don't care about margin of victory.

domer1978 is a shell shocked, long time ND fan.

I recognize the trauma symptoms.

As Lou Holtz used to say "I fear Navy, er, UMass.

One week at a time....

Possible, although Week 5 features Alabama at Georgia (likely 3:30 CBS game).

That would be Alabama's third time on Gameday in 5 weeks. Now they have a loss on their resume.

Not even ESPN couldn't be so SEC brazen to overlook a top 15 game with undefeateds Notre Dame and Clemson.

Who am I kidding ESPN probably already setting up in Athens.

That's my gut feeling as well, although ESPN may do well to promote their own freaking game instead of CBS's.

IMO, ESPN will not want to miss an opportunity to showcase Notre Dame (and having Clemson too is a big bonus).
