A good game to watch later on will be NDSU and SDSU.

It was a bit of an ugly win but that's what you should do when you have a big lead like that. I think the coaches coached it well. The attendance sucked but that's not JMU, it's like that across the east coast.

Nice win. Your offense is awesome. Lee is the man. The announcers suck....while you were spanking SB, the fat ex OL at Rhody was talking SB this and that. So pro North....same crap when we played them last week. Game better watched with no audio

Back from a wet and cold BFS. Crowd was good for the weather. Nothing to complain about.
Team did not finish.
Too many penalties...but several of them (including the ruffing the kicker call) were 100% bogus.
Refs were B-A-D.
Special teams (especially on Kick-offs) look lost.
JMU dominated the game, but the score doesn't reflect it.
SB players played dirty. Lots of late hits not being called.
SB coach is an a**hat.
JMU is 5-0
Time to refocus on Towson.

Agree with all of this. Looking forward to your game tonight with UD. I'll be pulling for the tribe.

Thx
Agree on the assessment on SB. Late hits, etc.
Both QB's suck

Its good for us if W&M keeps winning. We need to show we are beating good teams and right now only SMU would be considered anything close to our equal.

RE: Dukes vs Babbling Brook Game Thread
The main thing is to do what Coach Withers keeps stressing, worry about ourselves and not the opponent. We have a lot of kinks we need to work out, especially on defense and special teams but the talent, coaching, and schemes are there. If we don't use the rest of our schedule to perfect focus and execution we're not going to go very deep against the much stiffer competition we'll face in the playoffs. The NDSU team of years past is no longer there and there isn't a team we can't beat.
Kudos though to Coach Withers, his staff, and all the players. They have gelled so well in a short period of time and are positioning the program to be a consistent national power. Think of the kind of talent he has coming in. I'm confident Coach Withers could easily transition this program to FBS in a similar fashion to Ga Southern and App St, and not need "years" to get to the middle of the pack in any of the 3 conferences we're considering.
We need to make this sh!t happen now though, it will kill us to start over with a new coach right before or during a transition.

We just need to win each week and not worry about what SMU is doing (although they're up on ECU). Nothing else really matters. The 2nd half of the game was pretty frustrating but it wouldn't have gone that way if we didn't have such a big lead.

Yeah, even if we win out our schedule we probably won't get to #1 but I don't care so much about that. I'm more concerned that the fewer tests we have between now and the rest of the season the less we're going to be prepared for the quality of the playoff teams we'll face. CAA has taken a real hit this year as a conference. Albany getting crushed by Holy Cross??? Towson losing to Elon last week? Then add a neutered Villanova and sliding Delaware we're hurting as a power conference.

I'm sure the coaching staff will be all over this but I was really frustrated with the arm tackles that were missed. On special teams, we had a chance or two to have them start inside their 10 and we let them bring it out to midfield. That drives you crazy.

We absolutely need to stay ahead of Liberty, which by the way they just beat GA State, staying ahead of them and getting a seed in the playoffs will have us at home against them in the second round as long as they are not a seed. We will not have to bid to have the game at BFS if it plays out this way.

Agree 100%. There were a few on here that thought the announcers were great. Play by play guy was okay. The color guy vocalized every play like it was the greatest thing he'd ever seen. Terrible delivery. Definitely a bottom rung guy. Like Bleeding Purple, I switched over to Curt after the bandwidth cleared out.

If we kept up with RPI like basketball, Liberty's RPI would've just dropped like a rock.
