OSu vs. WMU
Sorry Broncos, Huskies are very sorry for pissing off the OSU Buckeyes with a very, very close score. Good luck next week, try and keep it within 40. This game, will be UGLY!
Calling it now:
OSU 65
WMU 7 (Maybe 7)

And Fleck won't get anywhere near the criticism Carey got from some in the media.

+1 Carey coached a fantastic game. Sure he was a bit conservative at times, but when your D is playing that well and your offense can't move the ball it makes those decisions tough. Guys, he is 3-1 vs the Big Ten with his only loss being a 7 pointer on the road to the number one team in the country. He's not too bad. Also, get ready for another Fleck love fest during the OSU game, because he totally deserves it.

Yeah, not looking forward to next week. But if for some reason we can get osu to start slow they might start to panic. I don't really expect that however.

They have the skill players on O to make any game get ugly in a hurry. But their OLINE has played 2 bad games in a row. And so have their QB's. Maybe they aren't as good as they looked against VA tech. The worst thing that can happen is if they give the ball to Ezekial on their 2nd and 3rd down plays and stop trying to pass. But we did a good job slowing him down too. If I were WMU, I would want Cardale playing. He can't hurt you as much with his legs and he has some fumbling hands right now-no confidence. Their defense on the other hand... They are really good at every position. If you can run the screen play better than us, that will take some of their aggression away. And your run game seems to be stronger than ours, at least in the 1st half of games.
I know OSU players will be pissed from coaches working them like dogs and fans complaining how badly they played. I hope you can keep it close and come up with some big plays. Win the turnover battle too.

RE: OSu vs. WMU
NIU better sign Carey to a contract extension before this game with a multi-million $ buyout clause.)
When 0-2 WMU which was crushed by Georgia Southern 43-17, faces OSU expect a brilliant offensive display.
Will OSU beat WMU by 2TD's (MSU) 4 TD's , 5 TD's or more?
After this game FB coaches will see how much better OSU is than MSU and more importantly how good a coach Rod Carey is.

OSU exposed our O-line with their pass rush but we exposed their inability to beat us with the pass when we stopped their run. You can bet that every OSU opponent from here on out will try the same thing. If we could have protected Hare a little better we might have won by a couple scores.

Thanks to what NIU showed us...

If it bleeds, we can kill it. OSU may not get out of the MAC West gauntlet alive. :) [Rubbing hands together in a sinister fashion]

Which is why I'll have to show that bleeding via Huskie Red during the game due to NIU's surprising one-possession close game.

Let's see what WMU can do if Ohio State gives them five turnovers.

Hare had some time when kept in the pocket, its just you really close that window when you have the athleticism of OSU chasing you laterally. I fully understand why Hare was rolled out so much to protect from injury, but it did hurt the offense.

If WMU is given 5 turnovers -- there's no reason/excuse why WMU should not make it a barn-burner if not win it.

I see the line is opening at 28 points, a little more respect for the Broncos than the Huskies going into the game, go shock the world! You have to create those turnovers too, not everything in life is handed to you :)

NIU's defense really forced many of those turnovers, WMU has to be aggressive in the same manner NIU was.

OSU did not GIVE NIU 5 turnovers. NIU worked for those turnovers. #19 was the best player on the field. The fumbles were hard hits.

NIU played great - this is not just OSU played poorly

Yes, very true. And WMU is capable of doing that. However, unlike NIU, WMU also turns the ball over a bit too readily. So it'll be more of a Necessity to make it not a blow-out for WMU to get a lot of turnovers, whereas for NIU it was to make it a possible Win.

BUT if WMU somehow barely turns the ball over and gets 5 -- I think WMU should have no excuse but to win. Even with OSU having a more sound offense this next game. OSU is not going to be held to 20pts. But with 5 turnovers, WMU should be able to hold them to under 30, while also having a more churning offense to score more points. I would also say the same for NIU: If NIU were to play AGAIN, and OSU were to turn the ball over 5 times -- NIU should set their realistic "bar" to winning that game.

No disrespect intended at all to WMU, but I think you are projecting WMU having a bit too easy of a time moving the ball against OSU. The defense of MSU and OSU is not even in the same galaxy

"exposed our o-line"???

i doubt we see a defense as good as theirs rest of year. they will "expose" most o-lines in the nation

Would love to see Ball State beat Northwestern. They are overrated and not a top 25 team.
