With UCF losing to Furman, and East Carolina's 2 loses, plus Temple's 2 point win over U.Mass. hurts the AAC in a long run. We could see both Boise State and Toledo enter the Top 25. Wins or loses does not mean that you are that good. Ask Florida State last year? They played nobody really.

Ummm, the MWC has lost 21 straight games against FBS competition. Boise has a cakewalk to the conference title, but they will not get the Access Bowl this year, because they are basically Marshall playing in CUSA.

No, CUSA was better last year than the MWC is this year. MUCH better.

AAC teams were rated far higher in the Sagarins.

31 Memphis
69 Bowling Green

51 Temple
158 Massachusetts

63 Cincinnati
163 Miami-Ohio

Every school in the MAC out preformed its Sagarin prediction this week. All except Eastern Michigan who was -4 hosting Ball State but lost by 11.

LOL. The MAC teams were the home teams. So the fact that all of AAC teams won on the road should tell you something.

True but you also have to consider that both Miami and UMass are supposed to be near or at the bottom of the conference this year. Temple and Cincy were supposed to win and depending on who you were talking to they were supposed to win by a much larger margin than they did.

The games of course still matter but you should keep that in mind. The win over BGSU this year does seem to be a very good win though I think the Memphis fans are handling it as they should because they are treating as a win over a good team.

The AAC can have a good and the MAC can have a good year as well. Both are poised if things go their way to have a real shot at the access bowl. Both conferences have to worry if they will beat up their better teams in conference and cost them the bowl we shall have to see.

You have not seen the MWC games have you? Boise State would have to play Utah State who lost 2 games close to Utah and another PAC 12 school.
Colorado State lost 2 games by 3 points in each game.
Air Force flew high scoring a lot of points on Michigan State. These teams are not weak, and could have beaten any of those games against P5 opponents.
In the west? Hawaii or Nevada Boise State may have to face. Hawaii beat Colorado, and Nevada ran up a score against Texas A&M and only lost by 17 points. That was not a blow out since these schools showed exposed the weakness in the P5 schools. If the breaks went the MWC way? There would have been many upsets against P5 schools.

North Carolina 48-14 Illinois
Oklahoma State 69-14 UTSA
Virginia Tech 51-24 Purdue
Wisconsin 28-3 Troy
Georgia 52-20 South Carolina
NC State 38-14 Old Dominion
Penn State 28-3 Rutgers

These are the worst lopsided games that were not MWC schools. Most of the MWC games were very close. Only worst MWC lost to another OOC opponent was Fresno State game against Utah, but they only lost by 21 points.

Congrats. The AAC barely beat 2 of the worst MAC teams.

That is why you can't say that the MWC is weak either. They lost many very close games.

I said you don't know who the best teams in a conference are, not who the best conferences are. Most schools have now played half or 3/4 of their OOC games. The MWC has lost 21 straight games to FBS opponents. I don't know who the best teams are in the MWC (as conference play has yet to really begin), but I'm also comfortable with saying that this is a bad year for the MWC as a whole (as seen by their OOC W/L columns).

You can see the MWC is weak because they have lost so many games. The MWC has a total of 12 teams and only three of them have a winning record.

Where the Toledo fan was trying to downplay a Miami Ohio and Bowling Green. Who both have had pretty tough schedules so far.

Both conferences are doing well for sure. #1 and 2 in G5 rankings, in my opinion. Toledo is definitely right there for access bid, along with Temple, Memphis, and Houston and possibly Navy.

0-21 vs FBS the last two weeks. I don't care how many were close. That's just brutal bad.

Yes, there just isn't any way to spin 0-21 as anything but catastrophically awful.

Yes only week three for most teams and the AAC is better.
But the MAC is stronger and the limit results are showing the bottom MAC teams are giving AAC teams a run for the money.

Again, how do you know who the "bottom MAC teams" are when you have yet to really get into conference play?

You need to look further. The win loss record does not give you the whole details. You have to look at the margin of the victories. Each conferences have the ugly loses. The one with the ugly lost was C-USA with Charlotte. They lost 73-14 to Middle Tennessee State. U. Mass. lost big to Colorado.

The sad thing is in 5 years in the MAC, temple only played 8 teams with winning records...

Umass will win some games this year.

You need to look further. The win loss record does not give you the whole details.

To excuse away 0-21, you'd need to be able to show all the games were against the Packers and the Patriots.

When it's 0-21, any details get washed away by the Big Picture, which is overwhelmingly fugly.
