I really never imagined any circumstances where any Marshall fan would cheer a Furman win. So is UCF really the most hated Marshall rival ever now? What if Miami(O) played them? WVU?

Nah....I wouldn't say UCF is the most hated. I don't even consider them a rival anymore since we don't play. Truth is, most current Marshall fans don't know much about Furman. Hard to believe but its been nearly 20 years since we were in the Southern Conference.

In most circumstances when checking scores when Furman has an L beside there name its a good game. Its not that most Marshall fans would cheer Furman but the way UCF came into the MAC with Marshall it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

And well Marshall and Furman haven't played a game since Dec 7th 1996. Which was a 54-0 Marshall win. To actually hate someone, there has to be a reason, there hasn't been a reason to hate Furman in many moons.
