RE: CUSA observations today
Well, as of this moment, just about the entire East is tied for first, including Charlotte and ODU after today's action is almost complete. Still amazing that can be. Sure it will shake out, but Charlotte fans have to be pleased in their first year of FBS football.

ODU    2-1    0-0

USM is In 3rd until they show some D and the last 3 are terrible. UTEP UNT UTSA are not playing well right now. UTEP is currently losing to the worst rated football team in FBS. UNT got crushed by Rice. Although UTSA played a over-rated AZ team in game 1 tough the last 2 have been blowouts.

CUSA may have 5 of the bottom 10 after this weekend. UTEP, FAU, Charlotte, UNT, UTSA. Thank god for USM winning at TS or this would have been 2 disasterous weekends in a row without a FBS win. At this point I hope we can finish the OOC ahead of the belt. This feels like 2013 all over again.

We're #1!!! We're #1!!!

RE: CUSA observations today
La Tech was awesome today.

Caught the end of the WKU game. The score surprised me. I guess they just got worn down by IUs O line.

FAU surprised me as well. I guess they suck.

Didnt watch anything else. Glad Rice is playing well.

I think the winner of La Tech/Southern Miss represents in the championship game and wins the league.

I havent seen Middle play yet. Looking forward to seeing them in conference play. They've beat two FCS teams (yes I understand Charlotte is technically not FCS) so its hard to tell with them.

I thought CUSA 3.0 represented well against the Big 12 and Big 10 today. Really bummed about the Tech loss. That sucked.

Not just saying this because I'm a Middle fan...believe me, I'm probably the most critical fan you'll ever meet...but Middle is good. I am extremely pleased with where we're at right now. Everything is clicking. Though I was hesitant about Brent Stockstill as starting QB, I have to admit that the kid can throw a ball and is very aware and smart in that position. We'll see how we do against Illinois, but beating them wouldn't surprise me. We set a school record of most points in a quarter and most yards in a game tonight. We played 2nd and 3rd string for more than half the game. I'm extremely impressed with our team this year.

Like I said...I havent seen y'all play yet.

Putting up 70+ is solid no matter who you are playing.

I wouldnt want you on my schedule.

Illinois kindof sucks. If you guys are legit you should be able to walk out of there with a win.

Good luck next week.

Honestly, I'm scared for Marshall. They are playing in Murfreesboro. The Blue Raiders are hot right now.

ALSO: UTEP and NMSU are tied, so don't put them in the "L" column just yet.

Fun fact... after 3 games, Middle has scored 153 points. That's insane.

FAU has to be at the #1 spot in bottom ten. 10 turnovers in 2 games. That is devastating...

How is there any way to know this? We've blown out two teams that weren't capable of testing us. And we were blown out by what is likely a final four team.

All we've played is far ends of the spectrum. And 95% percent of teams are somewhere in between. We will know more after we play Illinois next week.

Nah. We got this. You can't upset #1 without becoming #1 on your own.

RE: CUSA observations today
I know because Toot's backed out of their free wings promotion this year. In the past, if we scored 42 points, we won 10 free wings. Apparently, Toot's knew something we didn't....
In all seriousness, you have to admit that Brent is a good QB. The kid has an arm and is quick thinking and extremely accurate. I feel like our D has progressed tremendously, but still has some work to do. I do get the feeling, and I think it shows on the field, that this team gets along, has leadership, and supports each other. This is something that has lacked since 2009. I'm impressed. Illinois will be a test, but I don't think a win is out of the question at all.

Utep down 44 to 30 and it looks like a high school game. They both look terrible but someone has to win.

I hope UTEP BBALL is good this year because your football sucks.

Both of the UTs are horrible. West division is gonna be between La Tech, USM and Rice. FAU is bordering on irrelevance at this point.

IIRC Charlotte had 5 TOs against GaState, and 7 more tonight. So, yeah... 03-banghead

This year, ODU is like one of those mirrored race tracks in Mario Kart: same hazards, just different since they're flipped to the other side.

Utep tied it up at 44. Freshman QB looks pretty good.

UTEP won in OT. I tuned in with it tied at 30. Hell of an entertaining game if you're just an interested observer, but enough to give you a heart attack if you're a hardcore fan.

We're probably not going to feature in the division race, but since no conference games have been played, do not bury us prematurely. The body is yet warm.
