So with the Packers play, that's, conservatively, 5 Hail Mary's that have been completed this season and probably at least 10. I've never seen anything like it.

Somehow all of those Lions defenders were too deep in the end zone. Richard Rodgers was in front of all of them and just backtracked to make the catch like an outfielder backing under a fly ball.

It's good to have defenders behind the offensive receivers when the ball is short of the goal line on a Hail Mary, but not much good to have them all 5 yards deep in the end zone when the ball is 1 yard deep.
