VW $7.3 Billion Scandal
Google the story.

VW has "admitted that it intentionally installed software programmed to switch engines to a cleaner mode during official emissions testing. The software then switches off again, enabling cars to drive more powerfully on the road while emitting as much as 40 times the legal pollution limit".

There is a part of me that wants to say, "Way to beat the system, VW!"

I found it on myway.

There's no part of me that feels congratulatory toward VW - 11 million cars have been pumping 40 times the legal pollution limit into the air for the past few years. It's abhorrent behavior.

In today's political climate, the VW Execs could be sent to Nuremburg on the way to the gallows.

The sad thing is that it is very possible -- even likely -- that VW violated no U.S. Laws. As written, the EPA regs for emissions are woefully out of date as is their testing procedures.

Nonetheless, the CEO of VW got popped today.

RE: VW $7.3 Billion Scandal
Not a big fan of VW due to this recent episode and their past abhorrent behavior. Using Jewish people and Allied POW's as slave labor during the reign of the Nazis and World War 2. VW beat their slave laborers when they did not make their quotas and worked them to death, then they would bring in more Jews and POW's and repeat the same barbaric behavior. VW never apologized and only setup up a victim's fund 50 years later for Public Relations Purposes.
