I've been trolling their site. Their fans seem like a pretty good group actually. This guy makes a good point:
BGSU - 52
Fighting Penny Hardaways - 45

"Memphis wins the AAC after losing to UC. That's a brutal turnaround. Especially when you consider there defense very well may see 100 plays, tomorrow."

Hope he's wrong on the pick, but he is right about the tough turnaround for our Tigers.

I am beginning to think that...BGSU is a really good football team, more than capable of beating us. While we are indeed riding a nine game winning streak, we are not quite the 2001 Miami Hurricanes.

With that. This is Bowling Green, and not exactly Oregon.

Defense makes some plays...we win.

We aren't going to be able to spot them 10 points like last week and then try to play catch up. We are going to have to keep up with them point for point and hopefully hold them a time or two.

But often times in games like this with big hype on an offensive shoot out, either the defensive units play out of their minds, or the offensive teams sputter.

Ay-ziggy-zoomba? Rock chalk Jayhawk? People somehow managed to get those weird/silly slogans adopted as traditions and I can't get our people to see that "Fight like Tigers!" is better than the unimaginative, far overdone "Go Tigers" which is used by over a thousand teams across the country from pee-wees thru the pros. Distinctive traditions are sources of identity and pride.

As far as the game, I am a firm believer that most games are won by superiority in 3 things: ball security, ability to run the ball and ability to stop the run.

RE: from ziggy-zoomba message board
BGSU is VERY VERY good in one part of the game, their offense. But has problems with the other two. The one thing we CANNOT do is to stop ourselves. I feel their defense and their special teams can stop us. But we will also have a problem slowing down the top offense in the nation. Be prepared for them to go on fourth down a number of times as they do n9ot have a lot of faith in their FG kicking. So our defense could spend a lot of time on the field. DB and safeties cannot bite on run plays as they did at Kansas a few times as Johnson will NOT miss the wide open receivers.
