College Football Week 3
Louisville falls to 0-3 after their loss to Clemson. I can't say that upsets me one bit.

As far as the AAC goes, Temple (-10.5) should get by at UMass I would think. It would be kinda nice for the conference if USF can knock off Maryland (-7) in MD. Memphis (-3.5) could have their hands full in their trip to Bowling Green. Speaking of the MAC, Toledo (-7.5) hosts Iowa St. for those who think P5s don't visit G5s.

In the top 25, Ole Miss @ Alabama (-7) could be good as might Ga Tech (-2.5) at ND. BYU might be looking at their first loss of the season at UCLA (-16.5).

Anything else of interest outside of the Battle for the Victory Bell?

Navy plays ECU... That could be an "interesting" conference game... If you're interested in the AAC.

The other AAC-out of conference game I'd keep an eye on is Tulsa@Oklahoma. I don't think TU will pull off the win, but they could give the Sooners a real scare.

This is a very mortal OU team.

Yep, UC could be worse off and still be looking for victory #1 of the season. BTW, how hideous were those Louisville uniforms last night? Does adidas actually think Americans like this nonsense?

As soon as my kid's morning classes finish up he is heading over to the all day, all night camp out for his frat's tailgate spot with some sorority in advance if the Ole Miss game.

Youth is sometimes wasted on the young but not this time.

UCLA just visited UNLV and Mississippi State just went to Southern Miss as well.

At least we got Miami this year. Still a little surprised they agreed to it, props to them.

I've been really struck by the amount of P5 teams playing at G5 schools so far in the first few weeks. Michigan State @ Western Michigan, PSU @ Temple, Oklahoma St @ Central Michigan, Baylor @ SMU, Miss. State @ So. Miss, Miami @ Fl. Atlantic, Missouri @ Ark. State, UCLA @ UNLV, just to name a handful. Seems like the tide has turned in terms of P5 teams willing to play at G5 - any many of these not even 'marguee' G5 teams.

I don't have the data to confirm, but in guessing most of these matchups were scheduled years ago before the end of the BCS era.

Of course, I don't know what future schedules look like, and is too lazy to look it up.

Georgia Tech at Notre Dame could be a good one. Auburn at LSU. Will the real Auburn please stand up? My Auburn grad wife will be in "War Eagle" mode. How about Toledo with another shot to take down a P5 at home (Iowa State)? I don't know why but tonight's game is intriguing: Florida State at Boston College.

Louisville is looking at 5-7, 6-6, or 7-5. Road games at NC State, Florida State, Pitt, and Kentucky are not going to be easy for the Cards. U of L can't blow any other games in ACC play against the bottom of the league.

GT is a nightmare to prepare for when you've only got a week. Even tougher when you're trying to get your backup QB up to speed and adjust the offensive playbook accordingly.

Agree Coop

But if anybody can get a back up ready to go with a package that highlights his strengths and hides his weaknesses its BK.

Always respected Louisville, but lost some respect for that program when they brought Petrino back. Would love to see them have an atrocious season. That said, they have a pretty good defense there still (as Charlie Strong had the talent level on that side of the ball very high).

Louisville has a ton of big-time transfers on their defense. Josh Harvey-Clemmons, Shaq Wiggins, DeVonte Fields, etc...

Losing to Houston was a killer for them and great to see. I think they can get to 6-6 but it's going to be tough.

I hope Bama destroys Ole Miss. I know the SEC is full of dirty programs, but on the football side of things there is none dirtier than Ole Mi$$.
