If JFk had made the speech he did and we hadn't gotten to the moon, I think lots of people would have said.. 'oh well, it was a good effort' and those are UH (and most other school's) fans. I don't think that by and large, Rice fans and especially Rice leadership would.

We've been to the moon 6 times since that speech but only beat Texas twice.

I got to read the article in Sunday's Chronicle about the win over UNT this morning at work. It was good, in depth analysis by Stephanie. I like the way she had a separate question and answer section.

I really believe majority of the Div 1 universities wants us to succeed because we actually have student athletics and it can be done. Coach Rhoades will prove it can be done but Rice has to have a significant upset in football before we are takin serious. Dr K understands this also.
